Only giving 1 star because the doctor I saw was amazing. I waited 80 minutes past my appointment time to be seen though. Not good when you’re in incredible pain. No explanation. Each time I approached the desk to enquire, I was just told soon. I had to get upset before reception showed any sort of compassion & empathy. Luckily for WMC, not many doctors are who bulk bill & who are accepting new patients.

wait times when calling in are shocking I rang at 8:30am when they open and spent 30 minutes on hold as the first in line. not good when they tell you to ring up at 8:30am to make a booking the other thing is the lack of appointment slots ring on a Monday and nothing asked for a Tuesday appointment and get told told to ring on Tuesday to book are you kidding me you can't even prebook slots. After trying to get an appointment for 3 days I just gave up and told them to remove me from there books its beyond a joke trying to get see by a doctor at this place never going back again

Having to wait over 30mins to see a doc here is just unacceptable and shows the unprofessional nature of staff and doctors alike. The attitude from receptionist isn't welcoming either.
Sort out your practice.

Dr Hamut has been my regular GP for the last 7 years and has always been my go to for any concerns. I find he wants to understand what the problem is from a place of real compassion, so I’ve always felt comfortable going to see him and asking him anything to see what my options are. I’ve realised if I can clearly communicate what I want, I have been to find out what the most effective options would be and then we can compare that with the most practical options, which is important to me as someone who likes to have more control and choice. I also find it amazing that with the number of patients he would be seeing, he still remembers unique things I had mentioned to him, even if it’s been months.

I like using the hotdoc website to see when the next available timeslots are available to book. Everyone at the front desk are happy and friendly so it’s a nice space to wait before seeing the GP. To top it off, I am bulk billed which is pretty rare to see these days.

After reading some of the ridiculous reviews, I thought I'd like to point out that i have been a regular patient of Worrigee medical centre and Dr Humut for many years and have never had an issue.
The administration staff , nurses, and doctors have all been first class .
I would highly recommend this medical practice.

I've had nothing but great experiences from worrigee medical centre ever since moving here in 2023. I absolutely love my Dr priya. I also like how they have mental health services here at the practice as well so I'm not having to go somewhere different for that.

Dr Jane Huang was utterly useless. Couldn’t give me the basic of forms because she didn’t know how to complete it. She also shoved me out of the appointment before I even finished talking to her about other issues I was having. The pharmacy staff and reception are always nice though but I’ve never seen a worst GP before.

Edit; since I can’t reply I needed a form confirming medical issues (that I’ve been receiving treatment for from that centre for years and that Dr Huang has given me the medications to treat in that appointment and previous ones), a referral and two scripts. I left with one and half scripts I needed and nothing else.

Our family has had nothing but great experiences at the Worrigee Medical Centre since we have been with them for the past 12 months. Everyone has been lovely, very friendly and accomodating. We have been very happy with our choice of GP.
