I remember I visited Woolies Katherine last year 2024 and was disappointed to notice that the security guard had a strong smell of alcohol on him. When I greeted him with 'Good morning', he replied with a breath that also smelled of alcohol. This behavior is not only rude to customers but also raises serious safety concerns.

No fresh fruit and vegs and the stuff that was there was used by that day or out of date. It’s really poor form when a billion dollar company can’t supply customers with good quality food. Most of the shelves were empty and I went in the morning. Probably the worst Woolworths I’ve ever been in and it’s not a one off I’ve been there a few times over a few months. Check the date before you buy anything

Woolworths Katherine is an incredibly busy place day or night, the carparks are always full and it's probably the biggest detraction in going there. It's not uncommon to sit there idling longer than it takes to run into the supermarket and buy a carton of coke..so it's pretty much a monopoly per se vs where you can go elsewhere which isn't obvious as they're not on the main St. And not advertised. If you have a caravan or trailer there's a dedicated carpark for you south of the main entrance in the next street.

Getting beyond the parking lot it's got a bottle shop which will do your head in as you need to show ID before entering into the store answer questions about why and where you're travelling and when you'll consume it. Hint. Say you're staying locally even if you're not as you maybe refused entry and told to buy it elsewhere. Like pine creek. And then when you choose your poison you have to show ID again to make sure you're not on the government's banned drinking register, that does squat all as the pests then frequent the front bar of the neighbouring pub. Anyway... Once done you're away.

There's coffee shops, Baker's delight or equivalent, chemist, target 🎯 hairdressers, speciality shops that stock foods for those with exotic culinary tastes and a newsagents for a quick pick on jackpot night.

It's all ground level for wheelchair access if you can survive the carpark gauntlet.

Toilets are to the rear of the complex near the chemist.

Big thumbs up to Ashley and the team. Showed real concern when I reported lost jewellery yesterday. Never thought I'd see it again. But happy days, it was found and I was massively impressed to be notified so promptly. Great customer service.

Unfortunately the shelves are locked bare of an afternoon and it’s difficult to grab soft drinks and water. We were able to grab almost everything else. I needed to get deodorant out of the locked cabinet, saddle the staff member who helped me was very rude and abrupt. A good store to grab a few essentials when heading through Katherine though.

Very busy except for early mornings and late evenings. Lacks sufficient staff. Shelves often untidy or understocked. Store has little aesthetic appeal. Most of the time they are just trying to keep shelves packed. Sometimes you get fresh baked items. Deli is ok. Though variety of fresh cooked food items is minimal. Nothing is presented in an appealing way, feels like a resupply store. Staff are very lovely once you get to know them.

A standard store, like any other, supplying katherine with items that you need, and is the only supermarket store in town, yes there are other stores, but woolworths is the biggest in town
