Absolute abhorrent medical service.
I am a postpartum woman, with new cardiac issues, and they just have seem to have lost my blood work, initially was told I will be contacted but never was, so I followed up a week later, told my blood work was incorrectly filed, but was found and sent to my GP, so appointment booked a week later, when I turned up to an appointment the doctor saw me over 30minutes late (whatever) but in that appointment didn’t have my bloodwork and couldn’t find it; so told me to leave and PROMISED me she’d call that day: she did not. So I had to call later that week, to find out I needed a Telehealth appointment the following week, cool. Booked one. Got a call saying she was sick on the day of the appointment, but here have another doctor call. Awesome! I got a call, and due to having a baby I missed the call by 1minute, I called back immediately, and said she had already moved on to the next patient and would call me back. I heard nothing. I even called the receptionists back and they assured me I’d be contacted. I never was. This is now a nearly month after my bloods were taken.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever received. I will be taking this further. I want to have faith in the current medical system as I am part of it myself, but this GP service has absolutely ruined my faith in its ability to care for its people. I’d give this gp 0 stars if I could, all they do is lie, they are unorganised, and couldn’t actually care any less about their patients.

The doctors are great here but you seem to always be kept waiting for at least 40 minutes past your appointment time. While it's understandable that doctors run into unforeseeable issues, it's more often than not known when you check in at reception that the dr is running late..a little communication to let you know would be appreciated. It seems though that if you're late as a patient for your appointment it's very much frowned upon. Currently been sat waiting for almost an hour for a booked appointment. Really not good enough.

I just want to say a very big thank you to Dr Dev Anand he is such an exceptional Doctor, he always puts the care of his patients first with kindness, understanding, empathy in a very professional manner.
I am a naturopath so I have referred clients to him in the past and their feedback has always been exceptional.
Today when I saw Dr Dev I received the same high standard of care. However the same could not be said about the Practice Manager. I had absolutely no issue after traveling an hour to find out that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. However a phone call would have been nice. I explained that I have had recent eye surgery and the hospital had advised me to see my GP promptly. My husband and I were ever so grateful that the Practice Manger was able to fit me in for another time later in the day.
I was shocked to be told that I needed to ensure that Dr Dev didn't spend more than 10 - 15 minutes with me. I have never in all my life been asked to walk into a professionals room and tell them how to do their job. As I am not a GP I do not know how long the GP would need to assess my health issue. I found it totally unacceptable that the Practice Manger would burst into the room during my private and confidential appointment and berate Dr Dev with the door open for everyone else in the waiting room to hear and also berate me for allowing the consultation to go over the said 10-15 minutes. There is absolutely no excuse for this behaviour, if there was a problem with Dr Dev then that should always be addressed privately between the Dr and the Practice Manager.
I have never felt so embraced and humiliated for both myself and Dr Dev. Thankfully I don't suffer from Depression or Anxiety and I was able to get on with my day. I am so glad it was me and not someone with mental health issues. Dr Dev please accept by infinite gratitude for your exceptional care and taking the time to get to the bottom of the problem so that I don't lose my eyesight. It's days like this that its good to be reminded that your patients appreciate you and I give you personally the highest rating possible. Monika Webb 11/12/2024

This practice has a very low star rating for a reason and needs fresh management in its reception as their communication is very very poor and below average and when you contact them about this ‘you are told that your tests are normal and their policy is unless there is a problem they will not contact you’ I had to call them a week after my results would have been their. To be told this!! And This really upset me because other practices no matter how busy they are will still communicate with you to put your mind at ease. These guys don’t care!!. Not even a text message which would be the easy option. I am easy going and patient but I lost my cool with the manager Jozelle I think her name is!! And it takes me a lot for that to happen!!. I am not proud of myself for loosing my cool over the phone of which she suspended me and hung up on me after not really properly listening to me as a patient!! Again I regreat loosing my cool!! But they need to change their ways or they will start loosing even more of their 5000 patients she told me they have on their books!! and that is why they don’t have time to communicate with people. ‘Which is the life blood of every business “communication.”. I really regret promoting this Doctors practice. I hope if you have got to this point in reading this. Then their is many other practices in Redcliffe that would value you as their patient. I had gone back to give them another try but the arrogance that the principal Doctor and his reception manager display with a don’t care attitude needs to change!! Or their wings are going to be clipped as the cost of living gets worse!!. Good riddens Woody point medical centre!! (You can reply to this. I don’t care what you come back with, as God is my witness!!) you are getting to big for your boots!!

Sat on important documents for nearly a month , Prince Charles Hospital confirmed files were sent and received 09/09/2024. Several phone calls were made to clinic to check whether files had been received so an appointment could be booked.

On the 04/10/2024 I told the clinic whilst at an appointment for another matter, The Prince Charles Hospital confirmed files were received on 09/09/2024 , the Doctor apologised for this ‘ inconvenience’

This also caused my drivers licence to expire for a 3 week period.

Management are now lying about this ? I can prove email dates and read receipts for emails !!!

Avoid this clinic

Sat for an hour passed my appointment time, I could here the doctor just chatting away for over 40 mins to the patient ahead of me. Ironic since my very first appointment I was told off by the manager as my appointment went longer than 15 mins.
2 doctors left and another was in his office. No one offered for me to see another doctor as it was already passed 5pm I was not happy. Asked for someone to print my blood test results so I could leave… sorry you need to see a doctor.
Yeah I will at another clinic!
Will not be back

The reception is well organised pleasant and helpful staff . My wife has been seeing Dr Julie O'Connell such a good doctor she is very pleasant , listens to her needs . Recommended.. She had blood tests done in the building and the lady who does them is so friendly and very professional. She had to see the nurse there and she is so very friendly and helpful. Very professional . I think WOODY POINT medical is a good choice in receiving the best treatment locally.
