I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received at Tai Chi Massage. One word for massage is disappointing. One word for the lady who is in charge is non helper.
Since I had a stiff neck, I made an appointment for 45 minute upper and lower body remedial massage with Amy(the lady who is in charge suggested this type of massage after i explain my stiff neck problem) and went to this massage saloon on Wednesday. Amy massaged me 1 hour without asking me to address the problem(according to what she said). During the massage time ı explained to Amy that i didn’t feel relaxed and after the massage she checked my neck and I could turn my neck a little better, but not all the way, i was still in pain and I told Amy about it. She said that it’s normal and i relied on her.
After that the lady in charge tried to charge me 60 min price($85) massage but i objected and finally she charged me 45 min price($70).
Today is the third day after the massage and my pain has gotten worse, also i still have stiff neck. I asked help from owner to reach Amy because Amy wasn’t there on weekends but she didn’t help me and sent me an e-mail to describe my problem.
So i went there to explain my situation and if needed i offered to pay half price of a new session to get rid of the pain and how i need an oily massage instead of remedial massage because i went this place one more time, had someone else to oily massage done and it wasn’t that good also wasn’t that bad as well like this time. She isn’t sorry but kept saying that she is sorry but she can’t help, can’t give me discounted session and can’t refund even the half price. She left me feeling sore, stressed, and frankly, a little traumatized. All i wanted to get rid of the pain but she didn’t offer any help. She just kept saying that “go to the GP, you have to pay in here again” and ı kept saying that “it is not my fault and i am student here so why i pay extra money to GP or hospital”. After i understood that she showed a lack of comprehension, i left the saloon.
This is not the kind of reputation for the business.

In a nutshell save your money, your sanity and maybe even your limbs.

I was hesitant to write a review but I feel that my voice needs to be heard. I was having a massage with my massage therapist and he kept asking if I was okay throughout the massage. Around half time I stopped responding because I was very tired and I wanted to fall asleep. I then felt him grab my underwear to the side and began massaging my private area while masaging my back. I felt really traumatised by the experience and was so embarrassed I couldn't say anything at the time. I hope other women can avoid this situation.
