Wishart Medical Centre went above and beyond for us in trying to organise a last minute and urgent visa, for which we needed medical information/testing/etc. They were efficient, kind and professional to do all they could to help and were very proactive. No other medical centre (I called 8 before them) could be bothered. Excellent service. Thank you to the team!

Its Friday night and Ive been coughing up gunk for the last week. I've obviously got a straight foward chest infection and need some amoxicillin antibiotic to treat it. 99/100 doctors would probably agree. My regular doctor at Morningside booked out till Wednesday. So I found a random available doctor at Wishart Saturday morning.
Saturday morning Doctor says you need to get a sample sent away for a test and come back in a week and I will prescribe you something then. Seriously.........!
But, I don't want spend another week coughing up a lung. Dr said, we must get treatment right. I agree, but I said lots of people who come to this practice must be exhibiting similar conditions. What are they being perscribed? If you can prescibe me a similar treatment now, I'll get the pathology test done on Monday. ByTuesday I'll probably be well on the way to recovery. Finally managed to wrestle a script for amoxicillin and the obligatory pathology test.
My advice:
1.Only go there if your desperate!
2. If you do go, hold your ground and stay firm or they will take $40 off you and you'll get nothing.

Update: It's Tuesday and I'm as good as gold. Thanks Doc..........not!

We have been using this practice for many years and find the service excellent. While our regular GP Dr Chan is fantastic, if he is unavailable we have always been able to see another doctor quickly to deal
With urgent medical issues. Staff are always friendly and willing to help both over the phone and in person. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to others, it’s awesome.

Do not waste your time with Laura Esson. Was a dithering fool. She recommended things I had already had. I had to ask her to actually read my file. Had been going to this surgery for 10 years and never had a bad experience until now. In the end I walked out and asked to see a other doctor.

Went to see the female doctor here to get a renewal on my prescription because my regular doctor (from the same clinic) was on leave. I sat down in her office, started explaining what I needed, and she got up without saying a word to me, opened the door and went out to the reception. I followed, and she pointed at me and said to the receptionist, "I don't know her and I'm not doing this" and then walked past me, went back into her office and closed the door. For the record, the prescription was nothing crazy - just a renewal on the contraceptive pill which I'd taken for years.
I stood there, stunned, feeling like I had done something wrong. The receptionist, for her part, was very apologetic and re-booked me with another doctor there (who had no issue renewing my prescription), but the way the female doctor treated me was extremely rude and dehumanising. I have never returned to this practice because of this experience.

The best doctors around! Our family has been going to this practice for over 10 years. We have since moved and have tried other local medical centres but find that we would still rather drive 40 mins to see the doctors here at Wishart. They are all highly experienced and always know exactly what the issues are and what they are talking about. All the staff from reception, nurses, doctors have always been amazing and go above and beyond to ensure that we receive the best care/treatment we need. We honestly wouldn't go anywhere else!

We being there for sometime and found the best medical practice.
Went with my daughter as well and nurses are very caring specially Karen.
Dr Sue is the best person and Dr as well.She is very professional,caring and nice lady.
Very happy and satisfied from their treatment.

The Reception is very friendly. I'm surprised they still remembered my name as I hadn't need to see the Doctor for quite some time. I see Dr Lee and she gave me better advice and medication than the Dermatologist gave me for Psoriasis. I found out the Dermatologist gave me weak cream. So Dr Lee gave me something a bit stronger and it's been working great. I just wish she worked everyday since she only works Monday and Thursday. Regardless, I've been a happy patient of hers for maybe 8-10 years now.
