Very Poor service. I Went there because my daughter was having an allergic reaction, and was told “sorry we are not taking new patients”. Didn’t show any urgency or concern. Not even an option to notify a dr to come out, or help with ringing an ambulance (mentioned that we were newer to the area). I ended up calling another local medical centre in Springwood while driving around who consulted with a dr straight away and provided assistance and support over the phone.

My family and I have seen Dr De Vries and his team for over 20 years and highly recommend them for their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond for their patients. We are so blessed to have this medical centre in the Blue Mountains.

Absolutely disgusted with the treatment I received by the administration staff member (Leanne) when I called to see if there was an appointment, was told that “it’s not my fault I’ve left this to the last minute”, was yelled at throughout the whole phone call to the point of tears, won’t let me speak, Spoke over the top of me, refused to release my medical records to see another doctor even when the doctor called and requested them with me in the room, refused to organise a phone consult because it was 1 year and 2months and the cut off is a year (I have been attending this practice for 23 years). When i finally got an appointment at the medical centre - through another different doctor at a different practice who organised it for me- the reception staff was unwelcoming, cold and made me feel very uncomfortable. Will not be attending this practice again

Every Doctor here is amazing. I've seen 4 of them. I'm impressed with the type of staff that the centre chooses to employ. I have never felt inferior with any of the doctors (they're very down to earth and easy going). Super easy to trust any of them and they are always thorough. You feel like you're chatting with a dr friend! (But they're incredibly professional too). Couldn't recommend more highly.

I went in as advised by chemist due to excruciating tooth ache. I needed a script for pain killers. No one was waiting for doctors and I was told no appointments but could put me on cancellation list! I had just advised them of the pain I was in and no sleep, but I was just given a sheet with doctors phone numbers in lower mountains. I couldn’t get appointment and told to just go to Penrith walk in! Don’t see why it was so hard to get a doctor to quickly see me and write up a script, especially since no one was in the waiting room and 2 doctors had their door open with no patients.. They are my doctors and I go no where else.. I have never asked for urgent appointment before!!! Atrocious to allow someone to suffer excruciating pain from a toothache.

Whats the point of a GENERAL practitioner if the most general need to see a doctor leaves you shoved out in the cold car park?
You need a doctor if your unwell but you cant be GENERALLY unwell and be treated like a human being...
My 8yr old son has been covid tested and returned a negative result 3 days in a row and is still very unwell. But to be seen he was asked to wait in the icy cold air because god forbid he have cold and flu symptoms that need to be treated.
Your practice is appauling and id say its treating people like animals! But even a vet lets your sick animal inside!!!

Highly recommend Winmalee Medical Centre, especially Dr Inkeri D’Arcy-Clarke, who I chose as a nervous first-time mum for my baby. Dr D’Arcy-Clarke is thorough, caring and reassuring, and the practice staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and booked me in quickly when my baby was sick and I was worried. Thank you so much, we’re so glad we found this practice.
