Firstly im sorry i have to give you 1 star for my experience at recoveryroom today. I want to comment about indian nurse lady named 'Aman'.
When I was staying in the recovery room after my procedure ..
'Aman' wanted to check my blood pressure on my needle arm (which still had a cannula in it)
and i could see the bit of blood coming out of the iv cannula.. it wasn't a big deal, but I was uncomfortable checking blood pressure on that arm.. so asked her to do my other arm...
She didn't move around the other side
She wanted me to move my right arm to the left side, which i was super uncomfortable for, even sitting down on the chair.. but I did for her. 😰

And when it's the time to take the iv cannula out..
She pulled the needle out on an angle.. (i can tell it is like a yanking..) and i said Aww that hurts ..
i expected she would say sorry or say, "Are you ok?" (Like comforting the patients normally)😭
But she gave me an annoying face instead..
So i told her maybe you should be gentle .. ?
but instead... she says, Sorry.. She said, " You can't abuse staff. " ...
Wait.. excuse me what? 🧐
'You abused me with yanking the needle out of me'
The bleeding wasn't stop straightaway, and i was just in the pain 😥
She didn't pressure on the bleeding she just roughly swiped off with green clothes, and a few seconds later, she put band-aid on it..
please don't put me with the 'Aman' nurse again.. i am so scared and terrifying how she treats me !!!!😢 (Plus, I'm keep bleeding even now. I hope it stops soon and does not get bruise..)
She should not be doting this job who can not give positive care ..
She just gave me a negative feeling when I'm recovering. I got more stress from her and even anxious from the bleeding and pain....which i never had been this experience before.. horrible!

last time I had a procedure at Westside Private Hospital, it was wonderful. The nurse was kind and sweet, and all staff members were all amazing even though they were making me wait for an hour...

I gave Westside Private Hospital one star—not because of the staff on the day of my surgery, who were lovely, but because of a disappointing experience regarding my Medicare rebate. The hospital misled me into believing they would handle lodging my rebate on my behalf. What they didn’t clearly disclose is that they use a third-party company for this process. This third party profits by holding onto your rebate money rather than promptly lodging the claim so you can receive your refund quickly.

As someone without private health insurance, I had already paid my hospital fees in full before surgery. Yet, nearly a month later and after several phone calls, I’m still waiting for someone to contact me about when the rebate will actually be lodged. When I asked to cancel their service so I could lodge the rebate myself—which takes less than five minutes—I was told that wasn’t possible either.

This experience has left me feeling frustrated and let down. I believe Westside Private Hospital should be more transparent about this process. Patients, who are already spending significant amounts on their healthcare, deserve honesty rather than being subjected to practices that appear to prioritize profit over patient care.

I had a surgery today (Aimee Leigh) Dr Moses was amazing. She was so kind, warm and funny and made me feel very comfortable. The rest of the ladies I met for 5 seconds before being put to sleep were beautiful too. And the after care nurses were very friendly. I am glad I chose to have my surgery at this clinic.

I recently had an endoscopy at Westside private and I cannot speak more highly of the team. I was extremely anxious about the procedure due to previous experiences and every single one of the staff members from nurses to the anaesthetist and the gastroenterologist treated me with care and respect. They went above and beyond to make me feel safe and I cannot thank them enough. Will definitely be returning to them if any procedures are needed in the future.

The medical staff and nurses are pretty great, but their policies of making your ride home come up and sign you out is ridiculous.

I’d heard this hospital was wonderful & it wasn’t an exaggeration. The staff were professional and caring. Never have I been looked after better in a hospital. Special shout-out to the nurses. No one enjoys minor ops but the staff were so lovely to each patient.
It’s clearly part of their values & comes from management down. Thankyou Westside Private! Wish more medical facilities were more like this!

I had surgery yesterday afternoon ( 2 Nov 21) and I would like to take the time to thank two of your nurses - one was the surgical nurse working with the anaesthetist ( floor one at around 1430hrs) She had a great personality, instantly made me feel comfortable and was very informative. I went off and had my surgery, to wake up to a second amazing post-op nurse named Renee, She was honestly the kindest nurse I have even had, she was caring, knowledgable and very welcoming!!! It’s rare to find two beautiful kind people in the same place.
I have had lots of negative experiences with health care professionals and it was really amazing to have such a great overall experience at Westside private!!!!
Overall, very satisfied with the amazing work from both. Please pass this on to those staff members as they deserve an official compliment.
