So it's either one star or five stars here, gauging reviews.
My mother spent a couple of years at this facility prior to her passing and in the most, staff and management were reasonable and co-operative. I say 'in the most' because no facility can possibly be perfect and tailor all matters specific to families wants. I tinkered with taking mum out of this facility with the hope of finding aged care utopia, but that doesn't exist and I'm so glad we didn't move her now.

I recently spent 2 weeks of respite care at Westgate Aged Care. I had a very positive experience, the staff were very friendly, caring and helpful. My room was comfortable and I was able to come and go as pleased, to go shopping and visit friends. Westgate is close to the Newport shops, Williamstown and the City. Overall, I had a restful and relaxing experience.

My relative receives wonderful care and support at Westgate Aged Care.
The residence is safe and secure and has a bright and cheerful atmosphere. Great staff and management who are kind and dedicated. They go to great lengths to meet an individual’s needs.

I couldn’t ask for a better place, especially during Covid lockdowns when I could relax knowing that my family member remained well and happy. Highly recommend.

As an ex registered nurse who has worked in various roles in aged care in the private and public sector I can happily recommend Westgate Aged Care. Our relative moved to Westgate from another aged facility where his health and concerns about his diet were ignored. Since moving to Westgate his health has improved and he is happy with his diet and meals. The management and staff are dedicated to giving the best care to their residents and are always available to listen to concerns from residents and relatives. From the start of the Covid pandemic the management were proactive and used their resources and experience to protect their residents and staff from Covid. A pity that more facilities didn’t do to same. The staffing levels are good compared to most other facilities and there is always a registered nurse at the facility.

My grandma has escaped here multiple times during her WW2 flashbacks and this has caused her to be hit by multiple cars along the main road. Please lock some doors.
