Beware NDIS Participants – Poor Quality Reports & Unethical Business Practices
I want to warn any NDIS participants considering Wellness Embodied for report writing services. My husband was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis last year and began seeing a physiotherapist at this clinic. Since there was a waiting period for an Occupational Therapist to complete a report for his NDIS application, the physiotherapist kindly offered to write the report instead, assuring us it would meet NDIS standards.
To be clear, the physiotherapist herself was lovely and genuinely trying to help, our issue is not with her but with the business as a whole. We trusted that the report would be professional and of high quality. However, even before seeking a second opinion, it was obvious to both my husband and I that the report lacked depth, quality, and professionalism. When we consulted with experts, we were told it would not be sufficient to secure NDIS funding.
For the same amount paid to Wellness Embodied, we obtained a 14-page comprehensive and professional Functional Capacity Report from an MS Queensland physiotherapist, a stark contrast in quality.
We initially considered accepting the loss, but our principles and morals wouldn’t let it go. It didn’t feel right to have paid so much for a service that was only partially (being generous here) delivered. I reached out to Wellness Embodied, giving them the opportunity to ethically rectify the situation and refund us for a report that was entirely useless to us. Their best offer? To use my husband’s NDIS funding for further services at their clinic as this would be “no cost to us” yet they would be receiving full payment from his NDIS plan. 🤨
To be frank, we refuse to give our own money or government funded NDIS money to an organisation that lacks integrity.
Despite the report containing major spelling and grammatical errors, incorrect information about my husband’s condition, and an overall lack of depth, Wellness Embodied still refused to issue a refund. This tells me that they genuinely believe the quality of this report aligns with their business standards which is deeply concerning.
It’s incredibly disappointing to see yet another business taking advantage of the NDIS system. I strongly caution others against trusting this clinic for any critical NDIS related or other documentation.
