There are so many options out there, don't make the mistake I made using WLSA services. After 8 months of chasing a promised partial refund due to the Allurion balloon not working, the CEO Felicity Cohen has advised she is selling off assets to refund patients. They will be over the top to get your money, then ignore you. The after care you pay for is non existent. It is shocking a company that runs this poorly is still open and worse, in the medical field. I was sleeved 8.5 years ago, and have always been extremely happy with WLSA.
From the initial appointment to referral to the surgeon, nurses, front desk staff, psychologists, Felicity everyone involved was great.
The post op, on ongoing support has continued the whole time.
WLSA, ran, eating workshops, food cooking, demonstrations, with great chefs and the support and sponsors of WLS companies, again absolutely great.
For a number of years, outings were held and well attended by WLSA clients, they also sponsored us for the Gold Coast, AirPort Marathon, provided proffessional trainers, shirts, etc, so we could go as a team, and one year over all the events there were over 90 participants, so yes I am a great fan of WLSA and Feleity, for all the support, and everything they have provided me with over the 8.5 years.

Be careful about pricing....I was out of pocket nearly $2400, got given the run around when questioned. Now don't hear anything regarding their stuff up... Not happy, the prices are all there in the letter written to ATO , then day of surgery get smashed extra fees....CEO very unprofessional....I will take this matter further.....they tried ripping my friend off too...BE AWARE...... Go directly through the surgeon and not these people....

Common theme in the reviews. You are just a number, they have a high contact rate and make you feel like its super personal and always checking in and following back up until they get your money, then, radio silence. My quotes were inaccurate so i had to fork out extra, and was told by WLSA that it would be discussed at some meeting. . . I think that was bull ... It has been a month and i have only heard from them once. They dont care, you dont get what was promised, and KJ is the best sales person you can get, because she will call you after you enquire and sit on the phone with you and play along like she has the same issues as you and completely understands you. . . just reeling you in to make the sale. Dont be the fish that takes the bait, go somewhere that has a reputation for the aftercare that is promised. I literally have no idea what im doing 4 weeks out. The handbook they email you when you first sign up has zero help regarding calorie intake etc. I have been eating solids since two weeks. Surgeon says they will follow up but doesnt. He done a good job anyway. But super dissapointed in WLSA. Remember, dont be that fish that takes the bait. Go elsewhere.

I would not go near this director, as they have totally ghosted me, It seems like that is there thing to get away with peoples hard earned money .I would be very careful in who you are dealing with. The Allurion Balloon stay away from, as I nearly died from wrong insertion as well as no follow-up, Felicity does not live up to the reputation of caring, I still have a year of Psyc and dietetics available that were not used and no compensation was offered. I have tried to be professional through all of this and asking for some answers. This was all done at the WLSA head quarters Varsity GC.

I can not recommend WLSA enough!!!! The support is amazing and information provided prior to the procedure was thorough. I knew exactly what I was going to go through, how to manage this and to remind my self constantly of the WHY I was going through this. I am now 5 months post surgery, lost 30kgs and have my life back!!!!
I will say that the surgery or devises are just a tool to help you succeed. You still have to do the hard work, make smart choices about what you are putting in your mouth as this is a tool to change your life. If you don't you will not succeed and you will blame everyone else or WLSA. I can't thank the team enough the support is fantastic, best decision I have ever made!!!!

The entire team at WLSA are amazing and so helpful! From the initial consults with the psychologist, dietician, nurse, surgeon etc they guided me step by step through the whole process and are regularly checking in after my surgery (8 months in now). So happy I chose to go through Weight Loss Solutions Australia not just for the surgery but the support. Can’t recommend them enough! Thank you to the team at WLSA for all of the support and guidance AND my new body!

Take note of these negative reviews as they all have a common theme when it comes to prioritising profit over their patients and being ignored when trying to remedy the situation. I was offered a product designed to restrict my intake of food and assured it was perfect for my circumstances. The device did not restrict my intake at all to the point that staff were convinced the device was no longer there. Although scans showed it was indeed there, it did nothing to restrict my intake of food. It costs me $8,000! I spent several months trying to chase this up and at least a partial refund over the device as it did not restrict my intake like they said it would. After months and months of no replies and calls never returned, I was finally quoted fine print and that I would not be offered a partial refund for the device. I am now financially unable to pursue other weight loss options, and this has been financially and mentally devastating for me. While I will say that the support staff (psychologist, nurse, and dietitian) were amazing - especially Leslie who helped me through the horrible experience. But at the end of the day, I was given a product that didn’t do what they said it would and left me in a horrible situation with great detriment to my health. I was told of many risks, side effects and weight loss expectation disclaimers and I understood all of these. But I was never told it was possible the device just would not restrict my intake or function as they described. I really wanted to believe WLSA was different and would stand behind their products and patients, instead they stand behind fine print, ignored me for months and left me in a horrible situation. Although the support staff were great, I do not recommend this company or their products.
