I've been multiple times this year (wish I hadn't needed to, but that's a separate issue!) and all interactions with multiple staff have been great. There was an ongoing screw-up with my Medicare card - they were patient through that and did what they could, and the receptionists in particular were really excellent about it. The medical staff and RNs are also great, and we've been for vaccines too which have been done very promptly and well. I feel lucky to be associated with this practice.

Doctors are great but reception staff and practice manager have appalling customer service - rude, lack of empathy and unprofessional. The practice admin procedures are so outdated.
It’s a real shame good doctors are working for this practice.

We see Dr Tina Blight at Wakefield Gardens and she has been wonderful - always patient, caring and extremely knowledgeable throughout my pregnancy and in the care of my baby. We've also seen numerous other GPs at the practice for last-minute/urgent appointments, and nurses for immunisations, who have all been great. The reception staff are lovely and accommodating. The GPs sometimes run late but it is a reflection of the care and attention they give their patients. The Surgery also uses the HotDoc system/app which is super convenient.

I loved this practice, it was brilliant. And then it changed.

My baby was exposed to covid by the principal GP, I was told to shut up when explaining important medical information. And the GP (who we had never seen before, as she is new) refused to let us come back to see our long term family GP, thereby cutting ours 6 week old baby off from care in a crisis.

I would never recommend this practice anyone I cared about, where once I would have

Our local surgery Wakefield Gardens Surgery have catered to a wide age range in our family - pregnancy to 85 year olds. They have supported our family with excellent primary health for decades. A case in point, our athlete daughter was seen in early January and, through competent care was linked up for an MRI and to an orthopedic surgeon with an operation within three weeks and then post surgery pain relief and care.

Their doctors are really nice, well experienced and really helpful. However, the skills of their receptionists varies in recent years. They had a young girl at their reception in the past year, she was extremely rude, alway managed to find the fault on penitent: like you didn’t show up on time; there is nothing I can do; there is just no appointment available. Got a telephone appointment with my GP this afternoon, they can’t got through my phone due to bad weather condition, and their receptionist Hellen who had just told me to “get a phone that is working”......
