Took myself to the Rapid Access Clinic, was seen promptly and my care was escalated to the ED. Felt looked after, my privacy was kept intact, didn't have to wait too long despite how busy it was there. Had the choice as to whether to stay overnight or be discharged depending on how I felt, I appreciated them listening to me and my concerns. Can't fault them at all. Thank you docs, nurses and admin staff!

My son and I have been up here since 8am. He's barely been seen to, which I understand triage basis, but it's almost 3pm now.
Currently watching a young mother cry out of frustration at lack of a booked surgery time being given and over the fact her 2 year old is hungry, crying and not allowed to eat, a poor elderly man whose been up here just as long. Get your shit together Wagga Base

Hospital is an absolute joke and only used because its the only readily available one in the area.

Doctors, *most* nurses, and anaesthetist in paediatrics were awesome. They deserve 10/5. However, if someone has their curtain closed in a 4 bed room, you don’t reef it open all the way without asking. Kids have the right to privacy too. You did it to 3 kids just in the room we were in, how many others?

My 89 yr old mum has been in Wagga hospital for a week now, she had major surgery. The service she has received has been absolutely amazing. We live in Wollongong and I wish whoever runs Wagga would come and teach Wollongong how it’s done. The staff, the drs are all amazing with the most compassionate bedside manners I have ever seen. Wagga is the best public hospital I’ve ever been to. Such a shame it’s 5 hrs away. Given the shit fight over here, it probably would be worth the drive. Thank you all so much for your care, the calm atmosphere you manage to maintain. The staff all seem to love their jobs and I’m sure staff over here would be envious. Can’t speak highly enough 😊

Had apendicitis and was made to wait in the surgical waiting room for over 12 hours on sunday after being told to be there before 8 am, 24 hours fasted. I had my admission papers, the surgeons werent told i was there, the nurse that came out several times to get all the other patients did not check on me or look at my papers even once. Told me i was bumped off emergency surgery list and just had to wait.
Once the surgical team realised i was there , they were great and I was operated on within the hour.

A huge “Thank you” to all the staff at the Wagga Base Hospital, after a recent visit I was treated with nothing but respect, can’t speak highly enough of my care.
Special mention to medical student Yan, she was so amazing, also to Keiran who put me at ease, and everyone else involved in my care.
This was in emergency, a bunch of Angels😇thank you for your kindness and professional care.

Emergency service is not an emergency service. Been at the ED since the morning. Waiting on a bed for my child. At almost 9pm still no room available and staff just keep saying another couple of hours to wait. Had to go and get something to eat as well. Very disappointed. Seems like someone will die in the ED due to the long wait

Worst hospital I’ve ever been too! Staff are rude and can’t even handle a simple task like pain relief. Left with open wound for days without even them cleaning or covering it. Wound was to the bone on X-rays.
