I couldn’t get to my usual GP on a Saturday morning and I was having an excruciating abdominal pain.

I went to VTMC, walked in, receptionist was accomodating, told me about mix billing due to weekend rate, the waiting time was not too long.

I was referred to Dr Santos Parab. He listened to my medical concerns, he was very professional and really supported me with the medical checks I need (from securing hard and soft copies of medical certificate, imaging scan and urgent care hospital endorsement).

I had a laparoscopic surgery at Canterbury Hospital and he was constantly checking on my welfare. I’m very grateful to Dr Parab.

Staff are always helpful and lovely. But yes, Dr Natascha Bohm, it’s important to find a GP who suits the patient, and I respect her opinion that she wasn’t the right fit for me—but that wasn’t because of me.

She thought I was being "secretive" for not telling her the specialist’s name or explaining why I needed to see one. In reality, she had just said, "I'll be out in one minute," which reasonably led me to believe she was in a hurry. So, out of consideration, I simply suggested she refer to my records when writing the new referral letter instead of asking me to start from scratch. That’s why I responded, "Maybe you can refer to the previous one."

As for not mentioning the specialist’s name, it was because she confirmed that my referral didn’t need to be renewed, while the clinic’s receptionist told me otherwise (which I mentioned during the appointment). This significant discrepancy made me question the professionalism of the clinic I had visited, making me hesitant about whether to continue seeing the same specialist—because if she wrote the specialist’s name down, I might have to see the same one.

She didn’t give me enough time to explain. Instead, she simply stood up, opened the door, and showed me out. Yes, I won’t be booking another appointment with her, just as she wished. But the misunderstanding was entirely on her part, and calling me "secretive" was utterly ridiculous.

I have been with Victoria Tower Medical for almost 7 years and I am happy with their services throughout. Compared to when I started to visit, the premise went through a lot of improvements.
With online booking easy to be done to secure your appointment you will not need to wait as you used to.
I have seen Dr Andrew Harris for past 2 years and his knowledge and experience will cover you when you most needed.

Reception staff are extremely helpful and always lovely. However I had booked a Telehealth appointment with Dr Parab today ( I’ve never seen him before). I was meant to have a phone consult with my usual doctor yesterday and didn’t receive a call so had to resort to seeing him. He is the worst doctor I’ve ever come across I don’t even know someone could be so rude and disregarding of how someone feels. I have been suffering for 2 days with tonsilitis ( I suffer a lot from it) and it refused to prescribe or help me at all, all he said was take throat lozenges like I haven’t been doing that already. What a joke of a doctor, please save yourself and DO NOT BOOK WITH HIM

This medical centre encouraged me to pay and see a doctor to view my blood test- but wait 7days and you can do it for free on myhealth records via myGov!

Saw a doctor within 20mins of registering. There is a charge but well worth paying, after all other clinics in Burwood are full on Saturday 😅

I've been going to VTM for 7 years now, and I've NEVER had an issue. Every interaction has been seamless. The reception team is incredibly approachable, helpful, and accommodating. Anytime I have a concern, they respond promptly and efficiently.

They take care of my entire family, and we've all had such positive experiences. The overall culture there is fantastic—everyone is always willing to help. The doctors are absolutely amazing (Dr. VS, Dr. MA and Dr.SRK!). I'm genuinely thrilled with the level of care we've received at this medical center. Highly highly recommend!

Just to let other mothers know , that if you ever do your kids immunisation here make sure that nurse Lean doesn’t do the jab. I don’t know how she passed her exams to become a nurse. She couldn’t do the jab from the first time, so had to pull the needle back and then stick it again in my poor baby’s arm. Horrible experience. That was the 4th time we did vaccination and that never happened with other nurses. The kid wasn’t wriggling. , the other nurse did it from the first time . So no excuse. The management should check if they hire professionals. If Lean needs more practice to become one she shouldn’t be doing it on children. the practice has good doctors , is open every day and have a lab and x ray. That’s very convenient. But they should definitely choose their nurses better.
