Location and Accessibility

Vermont Street Health Clinic’s strategic location at 79 Vermont St, Wodonga, allows for convenient access for residents within the surrounding area. The clinic is situated in a readily identifiable location, facilitating ease of navigation. However, it’s crucial to recognize that the average opinion of 1.6/5 suggests areas needing improvement. Despite the location advantages, the clinic's accessibility features are a significant positive.

The clinic has demonstrably prioritized inclusivity by incorporating several key accessibility features. These include:

  • Wheelchair-Accessible Car Park: A designated car park for wheelchair users ensures convenient access to the clinic building.
  • Wheelchair-Accessible Entrance: A ramp or lift provides access to the clinic entrance, eliminating barriers for individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
  • Wheelchair-Accessible Toilet: A fully accessible toilet is available, adhering to accessibility standards and catering to the needs of all patients.
  • Toilet Facilities: Standard toilet facilities are readily available throughout the clinic.

These features collectively demonstrate a commitment to providing a welcoming and usable environment for a diverse patient population. It’s recommended that individuals with specific accessibility requirements confirm these features directly with the clinic prior to their visit to ensure their needs are fully met.

Services Offered

While the clinic’s website is currently unavailable, it is identified as a general medical clinic. This suggests a broad scope of services, likely encompassing routine check-ups, consultations, and potentially, more specialized medical care. Further investigation, potentially through a direct phone call, is recommended to ascertain the precise range of services offered. Common services typically found in a medical clinic setting include:

  • General medical consultations
  • Health screenings and check-ups
  • Management of chronic conditions
  • Vaccinations
  • Minor ailment treatments
  • Prescription dispensing (subject to physician approval)

The specifics of the services provided would be best confirmed with the clinic directly.

Patient Feedback and Considerations

The current average opinion of 1.6/5 on Google My Business signals an area of concern that requires further attention. A relatively low average score indicates that patient experiences may not be consistently positive. It’s advisable for prospective clients to carefully review the individual Google My Business reviews to gain a deeper understanding of the specific feedback being received. Pay particular attention to recurring themes or concerns raised by patients. This information can provide valuable insights into potential strengths and weaknesses of the clinic’s operations.

The limited number of reviews (7) contributes to the difficulty in drawing definitive conclusions about the overall patient experience. However, the low score necessitates a proactive approach to patient satisfaction. The clinic should actively solicit patient feedback, address concerns promptly, and strive to continuously improve service quality. Implementing a patient feedback system, such as surveys or suggestion boxes, would be a beneficial step in this process.

Recommendations for Prospective Patients

Given the current average opinion, it is strongly recommended that prospective patients contact Vermont Street Health Clinic directly via phone at 260517535 to discuss their specific healthcare needs and inquire about the clinic’s current service offerings and patient experience. It’s also advisable to confirm the accessibility features to ensure they meet individual requirements. Scheduling an appointment is also recommended, as indicated by the clinic’s policy. Before visiting, carefully review any available online resources, such as any published information on the clinic’s website (if available), and consider contacting the clinic to clarify any outstanding questions. Finally, after your visit, we encourage you to leave an honest review on Google My Business to contribute to the collective knowledge of potential patients and help the clinic improve its services. The clinic’s commitment to wheelchair accessibility is commendable, but the overall patient experience deserves careful consideration.

This has to be the most poorly run, disorganised and least caring medical practice I have ever had the misfortune to be referred to. I left from my first appointment due to their inability to maintain a reasonable wait time. When I attended my second appointment, it wasn't until I arrived at the practice I learnt they were closed due to staff shortages. They couldn't even be bothered ringing around to advise patients of the closure. After taking time off work twice, I will not be going back to this mess.x

They display unprofessionalism and don't seem to value patients' time. Even with a scheduled appointment, one has to wait for nearly two hours. When I reached out to the receptionist, their response was that I would be seen soon. Interestingly, they have a sign on their wall about zero tolerance for bullying towards them, but it seems they can be inconsiderate to us.

Extremely unprofessional - was constantly taking personal calls during the visit. Was rude and made me uncomfortable, did not read my medical history as supplied by my GP, did not read the form I had to fill out before being able to see anyone. Did not complete an examination, and instead, using his "expert medical eye" diagnosed me as being overweight and they were the cause of my problems, and everything else was just in my head, even though I have seen specialists, had extensive tests done, and previously had surgery for the current issue as well. I will not be revisiting this practice.

You kept me on the wait list for 12 months then told me to get a new referral- then wrote me a letter. Telling me you won’t put me back on the list to see the pain specialist- I’m total I have been waiting 12 years to see one - it’s discriminatory

Just received a letter dated August 2020 telling my partner his scheduled appointment for 25 August has been postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. I don't believe that is good enough. The letter is not even signed just says reception team. I think you need to improve on your service and communication.

They don't seem to value patients' time. Even with a scheduled appointment, one has to wait for nearly more that 1 hour.
