It is now mandatory to go there for all pre-operation appointments for the whole GC. It costs $80 each way from my home by taxi, which equals 2 weeks of food for those of us on pensions without a car. There is no viable public transport option for north GC patients.
QH have failed their duty of care to the elderly, disabled and chronically ill.

We arrived @ 6.30am & I was able to go home @ 9.30am…
From the admission girls @ the front to the nurses & the doctors who performed the procedure it was such an enlightening experience to see how well this facility operates…

My colonoscopy procedure this morning...
I would sincerely recommend this day hospital commencing from the attentive reception staff, to Dr Natalie F (unsure how to spell last name ),Trish the theatre nurse ..Scottish accent that tolerated my hanger fasting tude..and the empathetic ,diligent positive recovery nurse named Stephanie..
All staff were absolutely Proffesonial, caring souls that went out of their way to accommodate my health comfort and allievate any concerns..
Their delightful attitude and due diligence was beyond my experience in the past re other hospitals..

Well with cancer on the top of both ears the staff were helpful
The male nurse stood out pre the opp as someone who cared and made me feel relaxed.
The pain for the next 2 days was well! Not good and it will be atleast 3 weeks to recover.
A job that had to be done but don't want to go through that again...

What an incredible Team of professionals. You don’t often hear of good reviews in public hospitals but this place definitely deserves the ratings. From the reception staff, nurses, to the anaesthetists, surgeons and everyone else, all genuine, caring, professional people. Thank you for making my surgery so successful.

Arrived on Friday 11 October, for minor surgery, was greeted and looked after initially by Nurse Jane, who was delightful, a pre-op Scottish nurse called Lindon I think from memory, also so friendly, and another lovely post-op nurse who provided sandwiches and coffee and further information. Thank you again to all the staff who made my visit very comfortable as they were so caring and kind. 😊

Had a minor surgical procedure here. Arrived and was greeted by friendly reception people, then taken care of by Tanya - she was absolutely lovely, as was everyone. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Heated blankets were wonderful.
