So I badly burnt my leg ?(2nd degree burn) and 'Nurse Peta' and 'Doctor Conney' (visiting Doc) totally got me through it! VERY REASSURING, gave utmost best medical treatment,wound never got infected and I was fussed over due to my health anxiety! I highly recommend this practice as I felt very well looked after! Also the new building is very fancy and calm xx

Great people, from the front desk to the amazing nursing staff, not to mention the doctors themselves. I've been seeing the nurses as I've needed dressings, infusions and a few repairs. Peta, Heather, Lana and the crew have a great rapport with their patients and are a happy team. The new premises in Goldsmith Pl, is easy to access and well laid out. Give them a go, you won't be disappointed.

I had such a positive experience at UMMC, and wanted to recommend them to others. I was visibly distressed when I went in, and I was instantly comforted by the staff member at the front desk, with kindness and professionalism. Then the actual appointment with the doctor was amazing, and she too treated me with compassion and care. I left feeling like I was important and valued, not just as another patient in a long string of patients. Thank you for your kind and understanding care; I could tell it was a culture that was throughout the entire team, and it really made a difference. Highly recommend to others looking for a professional and caring practice.

I'm disappointed that I have to give a poor review to the Upper Mountains Medical Centre. I was able to get a next-day appointment online when I could not get an appointment with my own doctor (next appointment in 4 weeks). The new premises are great and the receptionist was polite. As I had a respiratory infection, I followed the request made during the booking process to wear a mask & mention on arrival that I had acute respiratory symptoms. I was asked whether I had had a Covid test and replied "No". I was then asked to sit in an area away from other patients (fair enough, although there was another woman in the main waiting room with no mask, continually coughing). I waited nearly 50 mins after my appointment time before I was called in by the doctor, who did not apologize for keeping me waiting so long. He asked whether I had an upper respiratory tract infection and when I replied "Yes", asked if I had had a Covid test. When I replied "No", he said "Come with me". He asked the receptionist whether they had any RATs and she said "No". She said another doctor had required a PCR test for a patient earlier that day but that the nurses were no longer available. Results for this test take time, so I was told I'd need to come back another time. At no stage during the booking process or when I arrived, was I told that failure to have had a RAT test would prevent me consulting the doctor. Had I known this and that I would be waiting so long, I could have gone to the pharmacy and purchased one. I was offered another booking but declined. I suggest that information about Covid testing be provided at the time of booking and that a stock of RATs be kept in the surgery for people like me who have no idea that one is required prior to seeking a consultation.

Upper mountain medical centre
Have always been very helpful for myself and my children.
They will try and fit us in and always so nicely spoken. My mum has just had 3 surgery's done to remove cancer they have been very kind and helpful to my mum. I would recommend Upper mountains medical centre to anyone. Deb and Michelle are always so kind and well spoken always happy to help where they can.
I have been attending the upper mountains medical clinic for 15 years now. And I have always had a good experience. Even when I have gone in very emotional or called very emotional and they always help.

I have been a long-time patient at Upper Mountains Medical Centre
The doctors are knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to patient care. I see Dr Melinda Hardy and she always takes the time to listen to my concerns and provided clear, effective treatment options.
The receptionists always greet me with warm smiles and a friendly attitude. They are efficient in handling appointments and always willing to assist.
The new location is fantastic, with a modern, inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The design is fresh, and the vibe is so positive—it makes going to the doctor a much more pleasant experience.
The practice manager – Michelle deserves special mention as well. Her leadership is evident in every aspect of the clinic's operations. Capable and attentive, she ensures that everything runs smoothly, and she’s always available to address any concerns, making the entire experience seamless

The experience I have had with treatment by doctors nurses and administration has been first class. When I desperately needed treatment for a bleeding head wound following an operation where the stitches had pulled, I went to the practice close to closing time and without an appointment. Courtesy of the compassion shown by reception, nurses on duty and a lady doctor on duty, I was professionally wound triaged, dressed with great skill and care and had a follow-up appointment booked for assessment and re- dressing. I signed up to a doctor as his patient who specialises in skin treatment. Since then I have had biopsies carried out and a cancer successfully removed from my neck so skilfully the scar is already indiscernible after just a few short weeks. All carried out at this practice. The reception staff, nurses and doctors already treat me like ‘family’ and that in my experience with surgeons, doctors, nurses and ancillary staff after numerous operations and multiple secondary procedures is above and beyond my treatment at medical practices prior to establishing Upper Mountains Medical Centre as my current one. I feel safe and warmly cared for by the total community of the UMMC. In their new state of the art integrated healthcare facility the staff is providing a 5 star service to me in every way. I am sure that goes for all its patients.
