Stroke victim with full shoulder replacement.NSICU care was excellent.Step down care was good.Next level down care has less nurse to patient ratio which equates to less individual attention. We had to wait 1.5 for a nurse to address a blood in urine situation.

I was admitted here for psychiatric evaluation. When the nurse drew my blood to double check for illegal substances, it barely hurt at all. I was processed and interviewed very quickly, and the staff was very caring, polite, understanding, compassionate, and professional. Since the hospital did not have any available beds, I was transported to Blue Ridge Vista.

This place is HORRIBLE!! been here 3 days, haven’t been able to eat, have to beg for ice and water and they never bring it. My medications are never given on time (usually 2-3 hours late). They let you lays in pain, had to really on my Apple Watch for my vitals bc the nurses wound so them. They kept telling me “everything is fine “ when in fact all mynEKGs and labs showed otherwise.

They should change the name from “Psych Emergency” to “Same-Day Psychiatrist.” You wait around for 2 hours hoping for mental health treatment, just to talk to a psychiatrist who tells you they can’t do anything because this isn’t outpatient. They’ll abandon you in a room with none of your belongings while they spend an hour writing a prescription for hydroxyzine, an antihistamine that supposedly has anti-anxiety effects.
I spent so much time explaining my specific diagnosis to the nurse and you what they wrote down? “Diagnosis: unspecified anxiety.” Insulting. Plus, they don’t make any referrals, they don’t do anything. Their only goal is to send you home. There is no treatment. Psychiatry is a sad excuse for mental health treatment. I’ve left here twice feeling worse than when I went in, and believing mental health care just doesn’t exist.
I’m convinced the psychiatrists who work here choose to work here so they don’t actually have to do psychiatry work. Psychiatrists who don’t even believe medication is necessary.

Loved our experience while my mother was in the ICU care. Nurse Ashley was an absolute angel. See cared for my mother like she was her own. In the end when my mom was being moved to Hospice, Nurse Ashley gave me a hug and assured me it will get easier. You don't see that in most hospitals anymore. Hopefully Nurse Ashley in the ICU has a blessed day and continues changing the views of hospital patient care. Thank you for taking good care of my mother.

I had outpatient surgery today removing a nodule and the right side of my thyroid. I was so impressed with all of the staff who helped me today. All were professional, thorough and polite. So 5 stars to the surgeons, anesthesiologist, administrative staff and the very nice lady who wheeled me out to the car. Thank you all so much!

How can you love a hospital. My wife had an accident and spent two weeks recovering at UC Hospital. The nursing staff in 3 Ridgeway off Burnet were outstanding. The ER staff at UC Hospital were equally outstanding. The situation positively sucked. The food was not the best according to my wife. But I watched how her nurses and attendants cared for her over two weeks. At least she was an easy patient.
