My partner died in tricare. Absolutely shocking service. Hi had 7 falls in 10 days. Anothe4 patient found him, not a nurse. When I mentioned it
the person rather got aggressive.
It is all about money, nothing else. The should close tricare.

Mum has been in care about 15 months todate. While everything is not perfect everyday single day, overall mum is very, very happy, hence 5 stars. Mum regularly comments very positively about staff, and overall she is content with meals etc. We suspect the minor occasional hiccups have been due to staff shortages/turnover at times.

All there is to offer is a beautiful building and location nothing more !

2 carers (if you’re lucky no one calls in sick) to 30 residents, and 1 RN to 36-40 residents on a a.m shift on some wings.

Staff are pushed to their limits with budget cuts made on staffing and pushing the staff to their limits, and leaving in tears as they cannot possible give the care needed to the residents, and expected to achieve unrealistic care goals to that many residents with so little staffing help.

The residents are just seen by the owners as money and not as humans.

Please look else where for the sake of your loved ones.

My parents initially went into TriCare Kawana Waters for respite, however they were so happy and well cared for they decided to stay permanently. They are in the original section and although it’s an older building compared to the new section it is more homely and all the staff are wonderful and truly dedicated to the residents care. My parents feel very safe, well supported and included. The admin and staff go out of their way to ensure the residents and their families have peace of mind With the transition of entering a nursing home and with continued care.

Our late Mother was found injured in the car park garden in the rain late at night at Easter, 2 years ago today, having exited via a staff door. We have never received a report or apology from Tricare, as promised. Our Mother was not a wanderer, never left the facility alone, lived on the second floor, was slow on her feet and had sensors on her bed and chair. The managers showed the utmost disrespect to our family. In the absence of followup by management we contacted the Tri Care director Peter O'Shea, who took no interest. He was also not interested in ideas about best practice in aged care. Our walks during lockdown were recinded 2 days after we complained to the commission about this incident. Other families, in a similar situation, continued to be given visitation rights. Sadly, the toothless commission still chose to accredit them and placed no sanction on this facility, despite the fact it was never reported under the government's Serious Incident Reporting Scheme. Aged Care auditing needs a serious overhaul. Fatty sausages with gravy served for Sunday lunch when lamb roast on menu; boring lifestyle programme; inadequate and poorly trained staff; inaccurate care plans; no toileting schedule.... our elderly and their families deserve much better. Given the hefty accommodation bond, daily fees and government subsidies, it is clear that these homes put profits above care. The extra service fee is a total rout- apparently never audited. Do not bother to send your insincere response tricare.
Readers please know, my sister and I are health and education professionals and speak the truth.

My mother has dementia and after 3 years of caring for her I was no longer able to.triare then took over. Every time I visit my mum she is clean and well dressed she gets along well with all of the staff and appears to be quite happy. Instead of being in a traditional place for dementia patients which have the feel of a prison TRICARE have a wonderful secure arrangement using a security bracelet which allows mu mum to wonder the complex safely. I am very happy with the care mum receives and thank the staff there for their care.

Would have rated this establishment 4 stars when our mother was self caring. 2 stars now her needs are increasing due to lack of staff. Poor value for a RAD$550,000 & monthly fee of approx.$3,000
