I had four appointments with Dr. Ling Leng. Out of those:
• She was over 30 minutes late to one appointment, citing traffic as the reason. While I understand delays due to previous patients — I’ve experienced that too and it’s understandable — traffic is something that can be anticipated. As a patient, I also plan ahead and leave early for appointments, and I expect the same level of professionalism from a doctor.
• Another appointment was cancelled at the last minute. I had already taken time off work the day before, but around 1.5 hours before the scheduled time, reception called to say she wouldn’t be coming to work that day. I felt this was very disruptive and inconsiderate.

The most frustrating experience was when she discussed my ultrasound results. She told me there were no images available, only a written report, and briefly translated the text. It seemed like she was in a hurry to finish and didn’t thoroughly review the results. However, when I got home and checked the report myself, I found a link that opened all the ultrasound images. I don’t understand the point of explaining the report if she hadn’t even opened the full results. This came across as very unprofessional.

The other doctors at Top Care are excellent, but unfortunately, I would not recommend Dr. Ling Leng.

I went to the clinic because the knee pain , the doctor don't even look and me and write a referral for the x ray and charged me $ 30 for this. Not even mentioned, i booked an appt 4. 30 pm and i wait for it for 30 mins . They don't even apologise for the delay.

Conduct During Postnatal Check-Up

Dear Top care team,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the care provided by Dr. Ling Leng during my 6-week postnatal check-up and my baby’s vaccination appointment today. Typically, we consult with Dr. Liang, who has always provided exceptional care. However, due to Dr. Liang’s absence during the holiday period, we were attended by Dr. Leng.

During the consultation, I observed the following issues:
1. Lack of Preparation: Dr. Leng had not reviewed our medical histories, leading to missed details and incomplete examinations.
2. Inadequate Examination Techniques: She checked my baby’s heart rate while the baby was in the pram and examined thigh folds without proper positioning, raising concerns about the thoroughness and safety of the assessments.
3. Dismissive Responses: Dr. Leng’s answers to our questions were vague, often stating, “it’s up to your personal choice,” which was unhelpful and frustrating.

I am disappointed with the level of care provided and expect that this matter will be addressed to prevent similar experiences for other patients. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this matter to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

I look forward to your response regarding the steps that will be taken to address these.
