I completed my Youth Mental Health First Aid Course to help me prepare for a job working with children with anxiety and depression. I had no idea how much I was going to love this course. It was informative, interesting and interactive. Kim was engaging and fostered a supportive environment in which the group felt comfortable sharing their personal experiences. It was obvious that Kim was passionate about youth mental health and was very experienced in this area. We were given real-world examples and I came away feeling like I could apply my new skills and knowledge to real-world situations. I cannot recommend this course enough for people working with children, for parents, and for those with an interest in mental health.

I attended the 2 day Youth Mental Health course organised by Kim at The Wellbeing Affect.
It was an outstanding course, the content, the facilitation by Kim and the knowledge she shared.

If you want to prevent an issue for kids, whether your own, or those you work or volunteer with, this is the course to get an understanding of what questions to ask, how to approach and the steps of first aid for mental health.

Highly recommended.

Kim was extremely engaging and adaptable to give us the best learning experience available. The blended Youth Mental Health First Aid training course is incredibly helpful as it offers both theory and develops practical skills to better engage with and support young people.

I attended an online Mental Health First Aid course with Kim. I found it very comprehensive and informative, and I left the training feeling much more confident in my ability to support anyone in my workplace who required any mental health support. I would highly recommend anyone who is responsible for people within their workplace, to attend this training. We look forward to putting more of our team leaders through this training in the future.

Kim was a fantastic YMHFA facilitator. Professional, kind, and developed an excellent environment through zoom to learn. The course overall was brilliant, the prework online module honestly was incredibly engaging and forced you to actually learn a lot, which was delightfully refreshing. The group component with Kim was equally as strong, and really cemented the learnings of the online modules. Would absolutely recommend compared to any other options available.

I have undertaken the Youth Mental Health course with Kim. Hugely beneficial and I certainly learnt alot. Mental health issues are so prevalent among young people and the more we can learn about seeing the signs, the more likely we can direct them to seek help at the right time. Thanks again Kim -I'd recommend this course to anyone (and have!).
