More interested in making money than treating people.
Want to charge me $55 to transfer my own personal medical records to a new doctor. This is my personal data and I was providing my own memory stick. My new doctor is shocked at this blatant ripoff and even says I shouldn't pay it.
Thankful that I'm no longer a patient at this "charge what you like" Medical Practice and its lack of patient care is appalling.
Avoid at all costs!

One of the best and friendliest practices I've been to in Sydney. Doctors are very thorough and make you feel important - not just a number being rushed out the door.

Dr Alice Taoum has recently treated myself and my family. She correctly diagnosed a mycoplasma pneumoniae with atypical symptoms that had made me extremely sick. Dr Taoum has shown to be extremely intuitive in her approach, she is extremely empathetic, and has given a member of my family mental health support during a time of crisis. I am thoroughly impressed with her ability as a doctor.

Ok. Look the staff at the front are only following rules. But the rules are dumb. I signed a clearance to get results and scripts through email and they still won’t send me blood test results until I book to see a dr. My blood, my data, give it to me. The only drs that are available will leave you $100 out of pocket after the bill of about $190. It’s a hit and miss with the gps. The one I’ve seen the most only knows info about colds and flus. Don’t bother with mental health issues, she took a misdiagnosis and ran with it even though I explained the reason behind it. The clinic is a cash cow. Make an appointment and wait for half an hour. You’re better off going to Illawarra street Marrickville and getting bulk billed appointments with drs who are punctual and know what they’re doing.

Dr was very thorough & easy to talk to when I visited recently, though they did keep me waiting almost an hour past my appointment time. Then they charged me for an appointment just to get my test results back, so watch out for that. Also tried to charge me for a flu vaccination, even though I’m asthmatic, until I insisted on speaking to the manager.

No longer doing script refills without a consult is the latest drama, which seems like a profit-centric exercise, given in my case I had a checkup with a Dr there in June.

Dr Aline Smith has shown the most wonderful care and patience with my elderly mum. She has gone above and beyond to find her the best possible treatment for her chronic pain. I am so grateful for her thoughtfulness and her generosity of time - a rare commodity in general practice.

We have an excellent family doctor here who has looked after our family of 4 for years. Because of this, we have been putting up with some unethical practices and a few consistently rude and abrupt receptionists for years.

However, I had an incident this week where I took our toddler to see our family doctor but forgot to ask him for a referral to see his Allergist (we get a referral to see the same a
Allergist every year). I called in a couple of days later and asked if a message could be passed onto our doctor for a referral, I was happy to pay a fee (similar to what we do when requesting reoccurring scripts). The receptionist was firm that I would need another privately billed consult to obtain this referral ($90) and refused to pass on a message to the doctor. Instead I got another phone call from another receptionist and she was very firm and rude advising this is their practice policy. I explained I understand there is a policy however in this case it doesn’t make sense to have another appointment just to ask for a referral! This means I would be paying $180 within a couple of days! I understand that this is a business but not happy with the money grabbing approach. Many similar things have happened over the years but it is time to move on. Very sad that I’ll have to find a new family doctor.
