Samantha saw my child for an introductory session and I was then told that my concerns and any previous specialists beliefs were not accurate and as such invalid.

Somehow there was more time spent on the phone to me then the intro session itself, simply trying to convince me that everything I was told was inaccurate and she knew better

This encounter has confirmed my beliefs that experience is paramount when dealing with complex thought processes regardless of the patients age

Maybe the psychologist chosen was not the right fit or a single session was not enough time to discover a deeper understanding of the patients underlying issues however having to endure what I can only describe as toxic, unprofessional and unnecessary interaction regarding concerns over my daughter's mental health is certainly a new chapter for me and definitely not what I expected.

As such I do not believe the solution offered was and is the only option available for the betterment of my daughters mental health concerns, since then she has now found a better fitting specialist who acknowledges her conditions and is guiding her in the right direction

A specialist that cannot reflect is not a professional in their field
