Amazing experience at Sylvia Brafman as a family member. A member of my family had been in mental health treatment many times with little success. This is the first time we saw real progress. Therapists, psychiatric team, and case manager were super caring and communicated with us throughout. Grateful and happy!

People go their whole lives living with some sort of internal conflict or turmoil. Something unresolved that has lifelong effects. Luckily for me The SBMHC has helped me do more work in the last couple months than probably most people do in their lives. I struggled tremendously in the beginning as this program is by no means easy but definitely worth every second and every moment, good or bad. There were and will be obstacles but if you accept the help that is offered and let go of any expectations you will come out of this program with a clear head, an open mind and you will become your favorite version of yourself.

The fleet of Behavioral Technicians led by their fearless leader Keara, to the unsung hero Brandi in case manangement and the creme de la creme of all nurses, Kevin, shape what Sylvia Brafman is. Without those three individuals SBMHC would not be what it is. I felt safe letting my guard down after resisting for such a long time. Kevin, Brandi and Keara have changed my life in a way I will never be able to repay them for. They all share a common vision and mission to help those that are willing to help themselves. The program is under the direction of a special individual who shows such compassion that it makes you feel genuinely seen, heard and welcome. Deana has been an integral part of my growth and success. The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center is blessed to have Deana steer the ship. She can navigate the waves here with such grace and care. I have the utmost respect for her and the Mental Health program.

The facility is strict but fair. I recommend the SBMHC to anyone that is willing to look within themselves and do the hard work of self-discovery. By facing my emotional regulation, letting go of resentment and navigating misguided anger I can confidently say I was, am and will continue to be successful in this process.

SBMHC was there for me when I needed help the most. I never thought I would see the inside of a mental health center in my life but now I know this was one of the best decisions I have made. Coming to this treatment center changed my life in such positive ways I never thought possible. I would not change anything about my personal experience here as I will continue on with my journey knowing I have an incredible support system through Sylvia Brafman. Thank you EVERYONE at Sylvia Brafman. I wouldn't be where I am today without you.

Finding Sylvia Brafman was like finding a needle in a haystack. There are so many treatment centers to choose from the decision is so difficult.

After meeting with Ben and learning that Deana Burton would be helping my son with his OCD, we decided to give the program a try. Unlike other centers we interviewed, Sylvia Brafman felt more personable and like a family.

My intuition was right on target! My son's case was unique and finding the correct road for his treatment was a process. Deana worked very closely with both my son and I, listened to his/our feelings, suggestions, needs while remaining strong and professional. We worked together as a team!

Had we chosen any of the other centers, I honestly do not know where we would be. Sylvia Brafman worked with us to create the accommodations my son needed. The other centers I interviewed did not offer the personalization which ultimately kept my son on his journey with a minimal amount of frustration.

Most importantly, my son is now in control of his OCD! We won!
Sylvia Brafman lead my son down the road to a successful recovery.

We still keep in touch with the center and are very grateful for their services.

Highly recommend!

Best PHP I have ever been to, especially related to another PTSD trauma and mental disorder clinic in my own state of NJ which claimed to address issues such as PTSD, bipolar, mania, BPI, etc. Due to insurance on my end, not their end, I returned home after a 30 day stay and I am already in the process of going back again for a 90 day PHP stay. People who are in residential just need to trust the process the first week or two. It is different to normal life, almost to make normal life easier when you return. You need to get accustomed to doing simple daily assigned chores to keep the space you live in clean in order to maintain privileges. The structure of the program is intense, you may not always want to do certain things, but it is meant to be in order to come back home a functional human being. By the end of the first or second week you should feel accustomed enough and socially appreciated by your peers enough to take on the rest of the program headfirst. It's a great program with great staff ranging from clinical, medical and house tech staff. I'm going back as soon as possible to restart the program from scratch, painfully leaving my 2 year old son in order to be a better father long-term. The most important thing to remember is bring at least few pills left from your last physician prescription to make the transition easier for the medical team. I'd also personally recommend arriving between Monday - Thursday to avoid and medication issues over the weekend; not the fault of staff. It's all about committing to the classes and participating. If you don't have that intent to take the program and classes seriously, you only hurt the rest of the group. For parents: You may hear pleas to leave on week one or two. Do not succumb. The clinic handles any issues clients have promptly and the level of structure can be terrifying for someone who could have been "coddled" most of their life.

If you think this is a "internal comment" - please feel free view to review my personal Facebook page at "Michael John" and review my GoFundMe fundraiser attempting to return to the clinic as fast as possible. I am a real person, not a paid actor.

The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center is top tier. The Chief Clinical Officer Ben Brafman knows what he is doing! He and his team saved our family with his hands-on treatment and especially his strong focus on the family unit and the importance of “Family Night”. Embrace the process and have patience! I highly recommend Ben and his entire team.

My loved one had the best experience here. We as the family were involved every step of the way - family night was particularly incredible. Ben and Deana were extremely compassionate and always kept us in the loop. Unfortunately we have been down this road before with limited success, and it wasn’t until Sylvia Brafman that we saw true progress. Mental health treatment is second to none, housing is nice enough. Definitely recommend SB.

Sylvia Brafman Mental health center has been so amazing for my family. They are detailed and professional. They really work hard to individualized the plan of care for anybody participating in the program. I love the aspect that the family is is a key in recovery. I really like the four pillars and the length of time that a participant stays. They also have a career launch for someone who needs support. I appreciate their guidance and education you receive.

February 2024 I made the difficult decision to Marchman Act my 22 year old son after him going through an extremely rough year of addiction and revolving detox/rehab doors. Sylvia Brafman was highly recommended to me by a friend who sent his son there, so I put in a call to the facility and within a day a zoom meeting was set up with owners Jaime and Ben. From that first meeting I felt supported, understood and relieved that I would not be going through this process alone. They reassured me that they would walk me through each step and work with my Attorney to assure my son received the best care possible. What really appealed to me was the different therapies that were offered at the facility such as EMDR therapy and Art therapy as my son had been through a lot of trauma and suffers from PTSD. Every interaction with Jaime, Ben and my sons therapist has been extremely positive with any questions or concerns being immediately addressed. The facility is really on top of following schedules and protocols to help their patients move along at the right speed. My son has also really connected with some of the other patients and formed long lasting bonds with them which has helped him during his time there. I will forever be grateful to Sylvia Brafman.
