We had a revitalising experience at the Mineral Spa. We chose the bathing package that included 1 hour of relaxing bliss. Access to two spa’s, steam room and two saunas with a cold plunge pool. Tea and water provided, bath robes and towels provided, along with a locker. Had an area outdoors with sun-loungers and indoor sitting area. Perfect place to unwind and feel pampered!

We booked in for a 90 min aqua retreat bathing and a 90 min massage/facial and had an overall pleasant and wonderful experience. The only issue I'd highlight is that I wouldn't trust their "mineral water" claim because our hands were pruning up pretty badly in the short time we're allowed in their pools which suggests it was really just hot water instead (if you've been to places with proper mineral water, you'll notice that you can bathe for hours in their waters and your hands don't prune up). Their aqua retreat section had 2 pools at 38 degrees, and a "cold pool" that was about 20 degrees, all of which has nice views outside, it also has saunas, a steam room, shower, a dry seating room and an outdoor sun lounge on a deck overlooking their well landscaped gardens, no toilet though (you have to leave the area for that). Tea and tap water available in the area. They clean the cups very frequently but I wonder if sometimes they just do a quick rinse because one of the cups I picked up to drink water from had remnants of tea taste around the rim which surprised me but also that could've been done by another customer instead.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hot and cold mineral water baths, followed by sauna and steam room, while sipping on a variety of herbal tea blends. We were at ease as we were givenI lockers to place all our personals and valuables, freeing our minds to enjoy our experience.
The bathrobes were very comfortable and luxurious.
Finally showering using quality essential oil shampoo, conditioner and body wash, followed by an essential oils body moisturiser. We felt rejuvenated and energetic on our way out.

Not a good experience- a real decline since my last visit. There must be a new owner and I’m pretty sure it’s the rude Asian man, judging by how we were treated.
We booked and paid in advance but had to cancel one persons booking, well within the timeframe that was laid out in the email. The man was rude on the phone about it, didn’t want to refund the money and we had to take another avenue to eventually get the refund.
We arrived at 9:05 for our 9am booking and were greeted by the man with “I tried to call you- I’ve had to let two people in before you, you’re late” he then hustled us through the change rooms and into the bathing area where he rapid fired an explanation of the pools to us and finished off by telling us to leave by 10:30 because they’re fully booked. Charming.
The pools themselves were much too hot- a lot hotter than the 37 degrees he told us they were. Everyone was standing in the pools and not sitting, relaxing. We had called earlier in the week to ask if it was safe to use for our pregnant friend and were told it was, but it was far too hot. We told him they were really hot and asked if they could be turned down and he said no because it’s 6 degrees outside today. A much nicer lady came through later and I mentioned it to her as well and she kindly offered to test the water temperature with a thermometer. How hard was that! As we left he didn’t look up from his computer, asked us for our locker keys and didn’t say anything else along the lines of goodbye or thank you. I asked what the temperature was in the end, she hadn't checked. Won’t be returning.

Absolutely Awful – Avoid at All Costs

From the moment I walked into the Mineral Spa at Hepburn Springs, I knew I’d made a huge mistake. The entire place felt like a sauna – not in a relaxing way, but in a stifling, can’t-breathe sort of way. The air conditioning was so uncomfortably hot I tried to open a window just to get some fresh air.

While I waited (and sweated) in the lobby, the receptionist was on the phone – not with me, but being incredibly rude to someone else down the line.

The bathrooms? Revolting. The drains were clogged with long black hair – not one or two strands, but enough to make you gag. Absolutely disgusting and a clear sign this place has no regard for basic hygiene.

Then came the facial. My skin was already overheated, but the treatment actually burned. She could see it was burning and put cold compress on and I asked to stop and leave after washing my face with cold water. When I told the staff at reception , they laughed it off. Literally laughed. No apology, no concern – just dismissive and rude.

When I called to speak to the owner, Bobby, he told me he was “too busy” and in a meeting, and that I should write him an email. No responsibility, no urgency, just another brush-off.

Apparently this place is under new ownership – and it shows. I sincerely hope someone steps in and shuts it down before more people waste their money and time, or worse, get hurt.

First time coming to the Mineral Spa. We had the Ultimate Mineral Spa Indulgence package which included baths, massage, facial, and healing cocoon. The experience was great. Staff were attentive and friendly. Our therapists, Paula and Penny, were amazing. They made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Everything in the package exceeded my expectations (Although we weren’t fan of the steamer during the facial as it felt too suffocating).
The facilities were really clean, well kept, private, and comfortable.
Overall, it was a great experience from end to end.

I tried to reserve massage and mineral bath ritual services through their website, but it required emailing or calling rather than completing payment online. After emailing and waiting (wishing I had called instead), I received a response stating they had no availability during my three-day stay, which was disappointing as relaxation / pampering was the purpose of my trip.
Nevertheless, I did enjoy the mineral bath, sauna, and steam room immensely. The tea station offered a variety of local teas, and the lounge area with a fireplace was relaxing and pleasantly uncrowded. I observed a shortage of staff, likely contributing to the difficulty in booking a treatment. Hence, my review pertains solely to the facilities and not the spa services.

One of the best spa experiences I’ve had!
The mineral spa is absolutely exceptional — peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained. The mineral pools are incredibly relaxing, and the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding. What really made the visit unforgettable was the staff — they were genuinely kind, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and recharge!
