I was recently referred to dietician Gauri Donald by my GP, Dr Ning, because of about five years of diarrhoea, most before coming to this practice. (Other GPs and two specialists had been involved, resulting in a colonoscopy and minor surgery, with no improvement at all, yet no suggestions of what to do or where to turn.) Gauri spent an hour with me on my first visit, and suggested l keep a note of everything l ate and all bowel movements. She considered all aspects of my life - sleep, stress, exercise, social activities, as well as my diet. At my second visit, she suggested l change my ordinary yoghurt to probiotic yoghurt and ordinary milk to lactose free. I left the surgery, went straight to the supermarket and bought her recommended dairy products. The result was like magic - no more diarrhoea at all. Two weeks later, still diarrhoea-free, l returned to thank Gauri and could almost have hugged her with relief and gratitude! I only wish l had known about the services of a dietician years ago. I highly recommend this allied health service.

My family and I have been coming to the Hornsby Practice since we moved to the area 14 years ago and I cannot speak highly enough of clinic and the staff. Dr Denise Huang has been our regular GP for all of us over the over the years and I cannot speak more highly of her as a person and her care and compassion as a GP. Over the past few years I have been seeing her regularly in relation to women's health issues and peri-menopause (because that's a whole lot of fun!) and her knowledge and persistence of this health area and working with me to ensure I have the best medical care has been nothing but amazing. She is always learning about the latest methods and techniques available to get you back on track. She listens and genuinely cares about you as a person, not just as a patient. Most recently I have also been seeing her in relation to the general skin care services she offers and again, I cannot recommend her more highly and the improvement in my skin has been fantastic. She genuinely wants you to look and feel the best you can and offers some great new products. A huge shout out to Dr Chris Vartuli and Dr Jordan Summers as well who have also been amazing for my children's numerous sporting injuries over the years. I highly recommend all three doctors and the practice in general. Highly knowledgeable and extremely lovely doctors. Nina at reception always remembers my name when I come in and is so welcoming and helpful that it makes a trip to the GP that much more pleasant and Joyce, the practice nurse who makes immunisation day and other treatments required in the clinic a whole lot easier. Thankyou! We will keep coming back.

Dr Denise Huang is an amazing doctor who is very caring & knows her stuff. She always listen to her patients & persist until she finds the cause of their illnesses. One in a million. I am very lucky to have her as my GP. Madison Practice staff are always friendly & helpful

I’d like to thank the lovely reception lady who helped me book a last minute Telehealth consultation over the phone just within five minutes because of my quick development of mastitis.

I’m a mom of a three weeks newborn and that afternoon I noticed that I got mastitis and I need to get treatment very quickly so that the symptoms wouldn’t get worse overnight. The problem is it was already 4:20pm and most clinics were closing very soon not to mention accepting new bookings. I was even turned down at the door by another clinic that I managed to make a booking via HealthEngine app. That clinic rejected me solely because I had ‘higher than normal body temperature’ and I didn’t do a COVID test! How absurd.

At about 4:55pm I tried my luck calling Madison Medical Center Hornsby and very luckily, the reception lady felt my urge and found Dr Huang to give me a phone consultation within five minutes and gave me the prescription. Thanks to them, my symptoms were greatly relieved overnight , and my newborn baby was settled, too.

My daughter recently had her ears pierced with Isabella, she was absolutely amazing!! Isabella has such a calming presence and was so friendly, yet professional, when talking to myself and my daughter and really put her at ease. Isabella took great care to ensure the piercing position was perfect and made the overall experience so exciting for my daughter. I can’t recommend Isabella highly enough ☺️

Isabella is an excellent professional. She got both of my daughters ears pierced when they were almost 2 years old. Isabella is incredibly patient and friendly with kids, making them comfortable while she carefully measures the perfect spot for the earring. I couldn't recommend her highly enough!

Looking for a GP with experience in pain management as I've had chronic pain for 15 years -I was told on the phone that some doctors here DO deal with pain management. So I explained that I need a regular GP that will listen to my situation, liaise with my pain specialist and be comfortable prescribing my medications and being my regular GP.
Got told sorry none of our doctors will do that.
So basically none of your doctors will give me the time of day to listen to my situation. And they deal with pain management, but won't listen to someone long enough to find out what they need to manage their pain? Makes sense. It's one or the other- if your doctors 'don't do that' then they don't deal with pain management....... not that they need to since my specialist does everything, all they need to do is call for an authority number..
Such a careless experience.
I didn't call and ask for pain meds- I explained that I have chronic pain and asked for a regular gp that ALSO has experience in pain management (as they are the ones that are generally okay with helping a patient to MANAGE THEIR PAIN)

I know everywhere is strict now, but you didn't even ask anything. Didn't even try to assist me at all.
And the fact you won't even hear me out, or the 300 pages of evidence as to why I'm on pain medication, is very ignorant and careless.

No 'let's see if you can speak to someone' , no 'you may be able to see someone but its up to them' ,no questions about my pain or my specialist or my evidence, just "no they wont do that" without a valid reason as to why reception is even making that decision on all of the doctors behalf.

This practice has become money minded recently.. though their policy is bulk billing Monday to Friday for all age group. They have started selling appointment like all doctor which do bulk billing are fully booked so we have few appointments left where you need to pay out of pocket expenses, so do you wish to book the same. So people take your call before booking such appointments and I am sure this not the only one in the area. We got options.
