Had a concerning call from a friend who is currently a patient there at 1.40am in the morning, when I tried to follow up with staff at the clinic by phone immediately afterwards no-one answers, it just disconnects, you cannot leave a message. This is not a 24 hour service as advertised. I hope my friend does not die in their ‘care’..

Hi I am a 68 year old army war had just been a patient of your lovely clinic, you had the best doctors, nurses, cleaning lady and food delivery staff that in my opinion are very professional and caring members of the highest standard! You should be proud of them all! They put a smile on my face every day well done and god bless you all! I am speaking of all staff involved with me in bellbrea east ward. Again thank you I have already notified DVA of your excellent service 🙋‍♂️

The 1 star is harsh as the nursing and reception staff are great. The issue is that there is a new General Manager who is a dead set tool. I overheard how he talk(s) to staff and my some what surreptitious enquiries with staff
while I was recently a patient confirmed he is about as amiable as haemorrhoids. Now how this impacts a patient is that if the ships captain is lazy and incompetent, the direction and functioning of the ship flounders. No matter how much advertising The Gelong Clinic does on Bay FM, it is only a matter of time before the "ship sinks".

Emerged from this so called 'mental health clinic' with significantly worse mental health. Cannot recommend this facility at all.

I am just home after a great experience at The Geelong Clinic and would recommend to anyone. Certainly, it is not perfect, however no organisation is!

From first contact Janda and Helen were extremely helpful, understanding and empathetic. I found the nursing staff kind and caring, the food is good and maintenance staff do a fantastic job of keeping the whole centre clean and safe. Program facilitators are knowledgeable and passionate about their roles and my experience has changed the trajectory of my life. A wide variety of therapy approaches delivered by qualified staff, such as art therapy, music and yoga, all broadened my perspective and helped me explore and process things from different angles. Registrar Dan and Dr Eva are incredible, as are many of the nurses.

Despite another review below, I met many patients with disabilities of varying types and severity who were all well accommodated.

Remember this is a hospital - have realistic expectations and be prepared to do the work and you will reap the benefits.

Thank you Geelong Clinic and staff!

My psychiatrist at the Geelong Clinic left and I was told to get another referral so they could assign a new one for me at the same location, they said they'd call me in 2 weeks once the referral had been recieved and they promised a new psychiatrist for me. A while passed and I called up wondering why I hadnt been contacted, I was told the referral had not been sent. It HAD. My doctor then sent it through again, and of course, I received no contact from the clinic. It's been about 7 or 8 months now (I think). I've called and been told that there is suddenly no space for me and that they have made my doctor aware of this. Which they did not. Then I hear ads on the radio welcoming new patients. Mental health is NOT something to mess with. I have contacted Geelong Clinic and been ignored, so all I can do now is warn others, I'm worried the Geelong Clinic will do this to the wrong person, and they will die. This is MENTAL HEALTH. Not a sore thumb. HELP US.
