⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Great Service, But Costly Iron Infusion

I’ve had a great experience at my current GP surgery. If you have a valid Pension Card, you’re only charged for your first visit, and after that, you’re bulk billed— which is a huge relief.

Dr. Recieve is fantastic—he’s thorough, caring, and takes the time to ensure a proper assessment. The reception staff are 99% of the time amazing, going out of their way to help. And the other 1%? Well, they’re just catching their breath! The clinic is efficiently run, and appointments are always on time, which is rare to find in a busy practice.

Now, onto my one complaint—the cost of an iron infusion. It’s $190, with Medicare only rebating $42.50, meaning I was out of pocket $147.50 as a pensioner. That included $90 for the GP consult (which I’m usually bulk billed for) and $100 for the infusion itself—which, honestly, I could have just swallowed and processed.

For those who require regular infusions, this cost is disheartening. It’s frustrating that a lifesaving treatment—one that helps oxygen circulate in the blood—can be priced as if it’s an optional luxury. When I was told the price at reception, the tone made it feel like I had a choice, and that left me a bit taken aback.

Aside from this, my overall experience has been very positive, and I highly recommend the clinic. I just wish essential treatments like iron infusions were more affordable.

I've been attending this practice since 2020 following a stroke and other health issues and rate all staff nurses and Doctors highly for their professional care. I've always felt confident in their care.
I currently see Dr Gomez he has always been prompt and thorough with tests and investigations and always greets me with a lovely smile.
Great team, Great practice.

I love this clinic i always feel welcomed when I visit.... They make you feel like your family at the front desk always greeting me with a smile... First visit to the clinic and the reception staff were so kind and welcoming.
I had questions and the ladies at the front desk were so helpful and wanting to make sure I understood what I needed to know.
I seen Dr Shilpa Suresh and she was wonderful.
Overall first impressions are great!!

I visited Dr Craig Thomson & always find Craig informative, caring & up front, always a pleasure. The front desk is also efficient & wait times are the usual wait time expected at a doctors appointment.
I used to get it bulk billed as I am on a DSP & I don’t like the payment of $60-$70 out of pocket expense now. But what can you do about it, not much probably, do not worth whinging about it.

I'm generally a healthy person so I don't visit the Doctor often, but when I need too the staff are very accommodating, are terrific communicators and very professional in getting the job done. This facility is my general practice and I'm happy with that.

I was incredibly last minute. Reception worked hard to squeeze me in, I prob should have gone to emergency, but peel health campus 😩.
The Dr. (Dr. Colin) was very thorough and treated me well. I was in a lot of physical pain at the time and the Dr. was patient with my clouded thoughts. The blood collection was equally lovely and genuinely kind and caring.

Friedly staff. A tad chaotic at front counter but everyone was calm and worked together really well. First time in my life where appointment was on time which was fabulous. I'm optimistic this is the norm so we'll see next time. I have also been seeking a change of GP and practice after many years of being dissatisfied so fingers crossed we are on a Good Thing! Thanks team.
