They cannot prescribe meds and the diagnosis is basically useless. Would have been great to know before shelling out a not insignificant amount of money, rather than after.

EDIT- the clinic has responded saying that in their intake email they say they don't do meds. I've looked it up, and maybe it says that to people in the profession who understand the language, but to the rest of us, it's definitely not obvious. I had no idea what the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist was, and I believe many people don't.

Unethical clinic - cannot get full treatment here nor can you use your expensive asessment elsewhere.

No report provided or referral given. Just ends up being a waste of your time and money when all you want is care and help because you need to pay it all again somewhere that can provide full treatment options.

I was after diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. This clinic did not tell me that they could not refer me to a psychiatrist nor did they tell me that the assessment they did would not be valid with any other psychiatrist I took it to. I paid $770 (NO MEDICARE REBATE - which should have been a red flag in itself) for "assessments" which I completed and
1. I do not have a diagnosis / report or anything else of these
2. I am unable to get a treatment plan as they have no psychiatrist to do it, nor can they refer me to one that will accept their "assessment"
3. They refuse to provide a refund despite the fact they are well aware they do this - just look at the other reviews!

The service I assumed I paid for - to get diagnosis and treatment of ADHD has not been provided and I have absolutely nothing to show for the money I paid.

A psychologist cannot, in fact, diagnosis anything in Australia as they are not an MD. This means that their whole platform is also misleading and inaccurate.

Marni threatens everyone writing an honest review with legal action.

What's even more interesting is there is no reply to this review. Almost like they know they do this... certainly they have not given me a refund still

Wonderful experience with this clinic, the entire team and Dr Usman helped me massively. My diagnosis has made a huge difference to my life. You hear a lot about how difficult the ADHD diagnostic process is in Australia, but the clinic honestly made it really easy. The assessments and process are very thorough - they explore other possibilities as well which gives peace of mind that you’re getting the right answers. I’ve referred my family onto the clinic too, a sign that I really trust them!

Booked in with these guys for an ADHD assessment, was absolutely thrilled with the standard of care provided. I received prompt assistance from a highly qualified psychologist whose credentials were easy to see on the website before the appointment. He was so kind, explained everything very thoroughly and I received a diagnosis without delays including a detailed report with the findings and a suite of options moving forward. I feel so happy to finally understand why I’ve always felt so different and have tools to help me moving forward. 10/10 recommend, well exceeded my expectations in every regard.

Before I lay out why I have rated 2 stars out of 5, I would just like to preface a couple things. Firstly, the staff and communication were not the problem here. It appears to be a professional and well-run outfit, and my customer service experience was not an issue. Secondly, I have been tentative to write a negative review, as this is my first one, and it realise the weight of something like this for a company. With that being said...

The mental health especially ADHD sector can be a minefield for the patients as most of you know. It comes down to the very simple fact that the ADHD Psychology assessment is essentially a redundant service that you will pay $1000 for. Upon having a clearer picture after speaking to a now trusted GP and 3 different Psychiatric services, there was no need to me undertake this assessment, as it will not be accepted by a Psychiatrist (they will undertake their own assessment), and the financial penalty personally has been a tough one. I WILL CONCEDE, the email does state this, but it was not exactly clear to me (and to several other reviewers by the looks of it) the exact implications of the fine print without the hindsight of understanding the full process.

Without an exaggeration, I spent $1000 for 45 minutes of a psychologist’s time. I am sure there is things the psychologist must do on the back end of course, but as a customer, I spoke to someone for 45 minutes, and that was it. I was then directed if I was interested in any medication processes, go to the psychiatrist, and the fees restart at a similar rate.

If this is the case...why would I not just do that in the first place? Why would it not say, if you have any interest in pursuing medication, do not undertake this service.

it is unfortunate that two of the three psychiatrists I spoke to both mentioned this is a "problem" they see in the industry, as people like me (and potentially yourself) are desperate for help and for people who are taking new patients.

The bottom line is this...if you just want a piece of paper saying "yes, you have ADHD," and some CBT resources that are readily accessible without an appointment, then fantastic. No doubt there are some who have had great experiences. But if you are looking for anything further than that, including medicine, you will spend $1000 on what is essential a piece of paper that will not carry any weight for someone else who will be assessing you.

Excellent experience. The wait going through my Doctor was over 12 months. This clinic specialises in ADHD and enabled me to do all the assessments and consultations online, which was great for me because if its not simple to navigate I don't do it. The whole process took under 3 months, and that was only because of Christmas period. Fast turn around, great communication, and understanding people - they know their audience well 🙂 thanks

Aligning with The ADHD Psychology Clinic was by far the best decision as this team have made the entire journey from start to finish so easy, despite these kinds of tasks and appointments usually being close to impossible for me to complete.

From the very beginning of the diagnosis process, every step has been laid out clearly and easy to follow. I found communicating with the team not only very easy but also enjoyable as they are a kind and personable bunch. I have been extremely well looked after and received a lot of extra care at times when needed.

I am always pleasantly surprised to receive such fast email responses including very clear instructions and I rely heavily on the reminder texts and emails for my upcoming appointments.

Dr. Usman specifically is amazing at what he does and I am so grateful to have been paired with him. He provided insights that I, myself would have never identified on my own. He was able to offer a great deal of clarity around my ADHD and personality and worked so well with me as we formulated plans during our appointments which made the entire process really very easy.

I am now living at my fullest potential and possess more confidence and excitement for the future than I could have ever dreamed possible.

I could not recommend Dr. Usman and the team more or possibly speak any higher of them.
