I chose Teneriffe Physiotherapy several years ago when I injured my back and shoulders. Chen treated me over a few weeks and her treatments worked.
2 years ago I had a severe and complex ankle injury (multiple plates and screws, multiple surgeries). Stephen Mahony treated me twice a week for around 18 months. Stephen’s approach is really thorough, knowledgeable about the process of rehab and recovery, and very practical in terms of my “normal” exercise regime vs recovery regime. He gave me exercises that became progressively more challenging as “ankle” recovered. I’m so pleased I chose Stephen’s clinic. (He even asked to observe one of my surgeries so he could see first-hand what my next phase of rehab might need! That’s dedication). Ankle is great now. So good that I’ve just booked a walking trek in Canada and next year a trip to the arctic. I would never have imagined regaining my physical confidence to this extent after such a horrid injury. I will always trust Stephen’s clinic with my muscular-skeletal issues. These guys are excellent.

I attended Teneriffe Physio recently and was treated by Stephen. Unfortunately I did not enjoy my experience. Stephen asked me to remove my shirt to treat my neck and shoulders, however did not leave the room while I undressed or provide any way of covering up. This made me extremely uncomfortable. Stephen continually opened the curtain whilst I was shirtless. Stephen inability to consider this situation seemed quite unprofessional, having him talking to me at length about my injury whilst I was sitting in a bra, instead of waiting until I was dressed to explain everything. I also felt my injury was not adequately addressed. Stephen evidently has a lot of knowledge and experience, however could improve on his professional practice, giving patients options to make them feel comfortable.

On each and every visit his technique has provided me with instant pain relief, and more movement. Part of Stephen's approach is to show you strengthening and prevention exercises particularly for a reoccurring injury such as mine. Over the years he has saved me a fortune! Stephen is a highly skilled and professional physiotherapist. I highly recommend.

Tenneriffe Physio has been keeping my body working well for longer than I care to admit! Stephen has helped me become much more self sufficient - I can now mostly prevent previously reoccurring issues and fix them if I mess up.
