We’ve been using Supagas for a few years now and just wanted to give a shoutout to Richard Hope. As a small business owner, having someone reliable and responsive makes a huge difference- and Richard delivers every time. He’s always quick to get back to us, super helpful, and just makes things easier all round. It’s not often you get that kind of customer service these days, so we really appreciate it. Thanks, Richard- legends like you keep businesses like ours running smoothly!

1 Star – Rude staff, poor communication, zero accountability

I had to call Supagas three times just to sort out a simple question about gas bottle refills at my new property. The first call was awful—the woman I spoke to (very likely Sandy, who clearly has a bad reputation) was shockingly rude, talking over me and being condescending. When I politely asked her to let me finish explaining, she hung up on me. Absolutely unacceptable.

The second call was with Michelle, who was lovely and actually helpful. But I had to call back a third time, and again was met with another rude and dismissive rep who said her name was Mandy.

To top it off, I was sent an invoice with no explanation, no details, and no one could tell me what it was for. I paid for the refill over the phone, so no idea why I was invoice again.

Honestly, Supagas needs to get serious about customer service. Sandy is clearly the common denominator in many of these 1-star reviews. Why she still works there is beyond me.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered when dealing with the Coolum branch. I called earlier in the day to set up an account and was told I’d receive a pre-filled application by email — nothing came through, so I followed up. The staff member I spoke to was rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping.

Rather than acknowledging the confusion or offering a solution, I was talked over, repeatedly shut down, and told I should probably “go with someone else”. The call ended with a sarcastic “oh my god” before she hung up on me.

I understand being busy — but basic courtesy and professionalism should still apply. Extremely disappointing for a first-time customer just trying to get set up.

If I could give them no stars I would. Paid for a gas bottle online today. Called to confirm the delivery with Sandy in the Coolum branch. She has advised quite rudely they will not be delivering the gas I ordered. Why have it available online if its to be purchased with another product. Coolum branch have the worst customer service. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED

Unfortunately customer service is lacking. Received a POD to say no bottles were needing to be replaced but then suddenly ran out of gas 2 hrs later. Went around to switch bottles over only to find that the delivery driver has not only NOT replaced two empty bottles (we religiously go through 1 bottle every 2.5 weeks- so this is indicative of a longer standing issue), but they also appear to have damaged the connector pipe (this is likely the reason why they didn’t proceed in replacing the empty bottles- once they realised what they had done) and now gas is leaking- no gas is going to the premises. Called the representative a half hour ago who then palmed us off to an ‘emergency’ number who gave us the “that’s a you problem” response. No attempt to rectify the situation, or to fix it was offered- same “great” customer service that a lot of people seem to comment about here in the reviews. Have had several problems prior to this including not crediting us with the gas they originally took when we first signed over- which took a few follow ups to sort out, and now to find that they not only do not do their job in regularly replacing gas bottles, but to also have damaged the bottle connector and creating a hazard. Needless to say, we wouldn’t recommend them based on this experience. We have to now pay for a tradie to come out, after hours, to fix this issue.

Called Supagas to simply ask for the email address of the sales team, we have pressure issues between burner and LPG cylinders.
The woman (I think it was Sandy) was rude and disrespectful over the phone.
I called Elgas after this and they had it all sorted out.

Supagas Coolum are incompetent with pathetic customer service. Not only do they require payment for replacement bottles upfront, before even receiving the bottle, they don’t even deliver when requested. Recently I ordered a bottle and was told it would be delivered a week later due to this time of the year being busy, no problem. However, when the day came and no bottle had shown up by 3pm I called the Coolum branch to be told that the bottle had been taken off the run sheet for the day. This has happened literally the last four deliveries now. Such an incompetent office/admin team organising the runs, with little care for customer service. I would NEVER recommend the company to anyone. If we weren’t moving in two weeks i would be switching to Elgas. Terrible, unreliable company.
