Absolutely brutal service, I’m not from Australia but was referred to this service from A&E and I’m so glad I’ve read the other reviews… after a very very severe episode of depression the chirpy psychiatrist gave me tips on how I just needed to get back out in the community while I sobbed my heart out in front of her… I have a diagnosis of OCD since 17 I’m now 34 and she told me I don’t have it because I don’t “check lights, wash hands etc”. I really left feeling I was the problem and 3 months later I stumble across these reviews by pure chance and realise I’m not alone in the slightest. This is heartbreaking how many people have been left this way. They are honestly brutal and I could give better advice and knowledge myself..

What a excuse of a place. There was a young woman in the mental health ward in Nambour that was assaulted. I contact them about this the health minister also.
Was done right in front of cameras but they don't have the footage and say I can't stand up for this girl because it has nothing to do with me. In return I said if the girl made an inquiring she will be doubted because she was a patient in there and they would blame her mental health. Go in with troubles walk out wanting to kill yourself pathetic

So bad, I have no words, I had two stints in this clinic, they misdiagnosed me, and as a result, they subjected me to unnecessary treatment. The staff were so rude and treated me inhumanely. There needs to be an overhaul of these public mental health services. They treat you more like a criminal than someone who is struggling mentally, and have no empathy. If the nurses are so burnt out that they no longer care, they should change professions, or receive further training so they can become better. So many violations and ethically disgusting. Do not recommend. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

''Free Australian health advice you can count on.'' This is how they sell themselves, my honest advice stay clear from them. Shocking service, non-caring, won’t listen to what you have to say. I tried several times over the years to get some help about someone very close to me and who was diagnosed with some serious mental health issues, and not ones they came up with a solution, they would not even listen to my 17-year-old daughter who desperately tried to find some help and what they told her was beyond comprehension, I won’t even mention it here. Time to move on and seek some alternative help. I feel I wasted too much time with this lot.

Absolutely the worst treatment I have endured over the phone service in all the years I have ever needed help. Rude, uninformative, no empathy, if the tax payer is paying for this place, something needs to be done about their inadequate staff. The last one wouldn’t even tell me his name . Disgraceful. This is not sour grapes, this is from a person who is completely lucid and after this treatment today, I will be looking into seeing what can be done😡 I have rang Queensland Mental Health Commission who have recommended I put a formal complaint into the Ombudsman. When a psychiatric nurse refuses to give you his name when you question him over his reply, there is something very wrong.

Absolutely TERRIBLE. Terrible "psychologists", terrible "treatment" and a whole load of judgement from the people who are meant to be helping you. I can't believe this. Incredibly rude staff, I've been here twice and I'd like a refund on my wasted time. These people should not be considered professionals or be recommended by the hospital, EVER.
