Our son (only child) has just turned 9 and he has been seeing Barbara at her Studio, on a weekly basis, during school terms for almost 2 years.
Our son has vastly improved his gross/fine and social pragmatic skills, under Barbara's support, during this time. Barbara tailors her sessions to suit our son's particular needs and established goals. Barbara shows empathy and is an effective listener which has enabled our son to trust her completely, in a caring environment. Barbara's approach allows our son to take risks and give every task a go!
During home schooling in QLD last year, Barbara continued to provide OT therapy and emotional support for our son, by using Zoom for weekly sessions. Barbara has the skill and insight to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to each session. Barbara conducts regular assessments to measure our son's progress against the agreed goals and provides comprehensive reports, if required, to measure outcomes and set new goals. As a testament to Barbara's positive intervention and support, our son will now be having fortnightly sessions for the coming year.

Barbara is absolutely by far the best OT we have ever come across and believe me, we have seen a few.
Her kind, calm and caring nature is such an asset which my son responds to beautiful . He lights up every time he sees her.
Barbara is extremely knowledgeable and organized when it comes to planning out a therapy session. From the minute you start , to the minute you end your session your child is benefiting and the gains are evident.
I especially loved the fact Barbara was trained in Sensory Integration - gaining more body awareness , working on his vestibular system and proprioception. She is one of the main reasons our son learnt to crawl, walk and is now having more success with self feeding and fine motor activities.

Barbara has been such a huge positive impact on our sons development. I honestly could rate her high enough.

Brilliant service and my son gets excited to go to OT each week. He thinks it’s “fun” to go see Barbara and yet he is learning and developing while having so much fun. Barbara has a wonderfully warm and welcoming studio, providing a fun and safe therapeutic environment. My 6 year old daughter has been seeing Barbara for 2 months now and she really looks forward to her sessions. Barbara is very soft, caring and patient. I particular like to take a back seat in the corner and watch and observe my daughters activities whilst receiving feedback from Barbara the whole time. It has been vital for us as parents to learn the skills and knowledge to support our daughters sensory needs at home to get the most out of her therapy. Before We found Sunshine Coast Kids Therapy our daughter was experience sensory seeking behaviours and having difficulty with emotional regulation at school. Now she is a completely different child.
