I could not possibly speak highly enough about the standard of treatment I received recently at this clinic. You were always greeted with a smile from the reception and nursing staff whose qualifications and care were top class.
Having oncology treatment is an unpleasant experience but when you are looked after in the caring and professional manner that I was by the nurses and doctors at SCHOC, it makes the journey a lot easier.
Thank you to Sorab, nurses and receptionists.....I owe you a lot.

Oncology nurses are wonderful humans wherever you find them and the nurses at this clinic are no exception.

The main reason to elect to be a private patient of any hospital or clinic is to ensure that you receive continuity of care with your elected specialist physician. This was not my experience at this facility and I found myself vulnerable to a team of administrative staff and physicians that fell very short of the compassionate care and support that they claimed to offer. Attempting to understand and navigate my treatment was difficult. I felt that concerns were regularly left to escalate and I was ultimately then blamed for causing issues or being emotional or upset in circumstances that I had not created.

There was no benefit to being a private patient requiring complex care in this setting.

Dear Trudy,
Having considered your response to my review it now feels necessary to clarify that on the day you have accused me of being ‘abusive’ I was contacted by your clinic and told a direct lie about the availability of the results of an urgent MRI that had been ordered on the suspicion of metastatic disease in my brain. A condition that would certainly have ended my life.

To reframe my anguish as abuse in circumstances that were created by your staff is just further evidence of the absence of patient centered, compassionate care. There is nothing respectful or dignified in telling a patient that their test results will be unavailable for a confirmed appointment when the clinic that issued them has confirmed that they were available before close of business the day prior.

If it is your expectation that composure be maintained in any and all circumstances, the oncologist that berated me fell short of your standards when I attempted to find out why I had been misled.

I am relieved to now be receiving care in an environment where vulnerable patients are not bullied by business managers.

Attended clinic for an iron infusion. It’s also an oncology unit. Great receptionist, nurses and doctors. Very good with communicating. In a place where compassion and care is needed this facility is overflowing.
