Not happy at all with experience I had at SunDoctors Wyong
Be very careful of what they tell you and how they go about charging you, ask as many questions as you can and how much things cost, as no pricing was disclosed to me. I had a small procedure done and was charge what I thought was quiet a bit but was expecting a bit or at least half back from Medicare. When I got next to nothing I started asking questions which they reluctantly tried to avoid answering. After going in there and demanding all my paperwork for what I was charged to Medicare I found out that without my consent they bulk billed the item number for the refund which I should of received straight back to the SunDoctors account which was about $243.
I canceled my two other appointments for two more procedures which would cost me quite a bit.
Then went got a second opinion to which I was told freezing of the small skin imperfections and monitoring would be quite sufficient at this stage instead cutting large amounts of flesh from my face and nose,This I was happy to do. Just keep in mind SunDoctors is a franchise type of business they rely on expensive procedures to keep the doors open.
SunDoctors uses Sun pathology to do all the pathology a bit of a conflicts of interest if you ask me.
Go there for a check up if you want but asked for all prices up front and definitely get a second opinion before you get things cut out of your body.

Nice staff. Run on time. Reminders when your appointment is coming up. Since my first visit in 2017 Dr Chalapathi detected a melanoma which was removed in hospital and Dr Theo has detected and removed two carcinomas. I am here to tell the tale. What more could I ask for?

Just had the most disgraceful and unprofessional phone consult from Dr Theo.

He was rude, abrupt, a smart alec, completely unprofessional. I was absolutely gob smacked at the way he was speaking to me.

I was able to speak with the practice manager who was extremely compassionate and apologised repeatedly for the way I was treated by Dr Theo. The admin staff I spoke to were also lovely and apologetic.

I sensed something was off from the first appointment. It was rushed, and clear that he was in a hurry. Then he called me a week later to tell me my results to which they found a skin cancer (which I am very grateful for). The phone call to deliver the news was rushed, he showed no compassion and didn't even advise what skin cancer it was. I had to call back to get this information (which I would had thought this information would be vital, and since talking to another practice they have informed me that this information indeed is very important).

I will not be back and I do not recommend this practice to anyone. I honestly cannot believe the way I was spoken to and the practice manager has assured me she will be making a formal complaint to her head office.

I made an appointment at Tuggerah while passing their premises on my way to another appointment elsewhere. I’m so glad I popped in. At my subsequent appointment my concerns were addressed in a professional and timely manner. All the staff were pleasant and welcoming. I’ll ensure to attend all my twelve monthly reviews. Thank you Sun Doctors for simplifying the process whereby we sun loving Aussies can regularly have our skin checked for any nasties.
