Excellent staff, very friendly, caring, and helpful.
I was in for cardiac care and was pretty nervous but the ladies (especially Frances, Shona, and Lyn (can’t quite remember) were super cool and made the stay an easy one.

Thanks very much and I hope to never see any of you again. At least in a hospital. ;0)

I had an appendix removal within the next day of presentation to the emergency. I was very nervous and struggled as it was my first time presenting to a hospital and they were absolutely phenomenal. They allowed my partner to stay. By right by my side. My dr Franz was so excellent and eased my mind. My anaesthetist Dr Kurichi Marudhachalam was so calming and helped me through everything as well as his technician Molly who has changed my perspective of surgery and was honestly so sweet and caring.

I do not recommend this place. I came out worse off. I went in for norovirus and was pumped with IV fluids 2 days straight and they kept asking me why my bloody pressure and oxygen levels were so low. I got discharged because I couldn't take another day being in there. Got x-rays done myself to find out I now have fluid in both my lungs which was causing me to have difficulty in breathing. During my stay I was about to vomit in my own bed I buzzed the whole night and no one came until the morning to find out my buzzer was not working the whole time. I barely got to see a dr and not once did they even try to take a scan to see why I had trouble breathing. I reckon if I had stayed a day longer I would have drowned from IV fluids that they were pumping in me. My personal gp was horrified when she saw the scans of my lungs and now I have to go to a hospital to pump out the fluids out of lungs. I also ended up with Edema due to the amount of fluids in my body. For someone who didn't eat for 3 days I gained so much weight. Honestly st Vincent should be paying for my medical fees. I have lost money from being away from work due to this malpractice.

Recently stayed overnight after gallbladder removal surgery. I was very unwell afterwards, but the nursing staff were beyond amazing and caring. Loved the room service food too with great choices (have attached photos in case anyone wants to know in advance what you can get).

You pay for a private hospital room.

They allow 'volunteers' access to wander the rooms waking people up really early for no particular reason - you still have the room for the day.

Guy that creeped into my room looked exactly the type that would do that sort of thing for free.

Why do you allow this?

Excellent clinical performance with attentive and professional staff. Recovery nurses were kind and caring. The staff on the ward were amazing. I had a very good experience during my surgical admission. The hospital followed up with a support phone call after I was discharged. Highly recommend St Vincent's Northside.
