Hi I wanted to share my experience with reception and booking.

I am very disappointed with the experience I had with the reception staff at St Johns Park Medical Centre

Last Tuesday 11th June, I received a call informing me that my Friday appointment that week was cancelled. I rescheduled it for the next Wednesday but realized I couldn't make it because I don’t work from home on Wednesdays. I called back to change it to Monday instead.

The receptionist, a young woman, seemed inattentive and I had to repeat myself twice. To my surprise, she hung up without any confirmation, not even a simple "goodbye" or "it's confirmed."

When I arrived on Monday 17th June, I was told my appointment was still booked for Wednesday. This was incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of my time, especially considering it was a doctor's appointment.

The lack of attention to detail and poor communication from that reception staff is not acceptable. I have come across with other reception staff and have had no issues. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve the service and ensure that other patients do not have to face similar issues.

I am very disappointed with Dr. Yamin Oo's unprofessionalism and reluctance to pursue further investigations despite patient requests, particularly for those with hypertension and heart concerns. Despite stating that my blood pressure has been very high over the past few weeks, she only offered a blood test and advised returning a few days later for the results. She mentioned that only if the results were abnormal would further heart tests be considered. It appears she wants patients to return multiple times to swipe their Medicare cards for payment.
I won't be returning to her again. It's no surprise that Dr. Sandra is fully booked while she is not.

Dr Sandra has been my doctor for years and no matter where in Sydney I live, I will never change doctors. Not only is Dr Sandra amazing, the nurse and receptionists are just as lovely. They're exactly the type of people you want to deal with when you're unwell. Kind and professional.

Even with appointment, other medical centres still make you wait nearly an hour. But at this place they got me in exactly on time.
