Good service at your store today. I asked for some advice from the sales lady and she helped me by showing me options. She then gave me time to have a look around the shop trying different glasses on which I appreciated. I made my purchases and look forward to receiving my glasses soon.

I should NOT have gone to Specsavers Bateau Bay.. No end of problems with my latest 2x pair of glasses. Initially they had the wrong lenses.. Specsavers would only replace one set of lenses not both, which they should have.. Not only did they have the wrong lenses initially, the lenses kept falling out of the frames. . I returned them for repair several times. At a mere 8 months an arm fell off.
I was told that was "wear and tear". Which was a cop out for "we arent taking responsibility for our faulty product" . I am medically retired, not its not exactly like I am a tradie beating them up. Rather, I am quite sedentary. It was not wear and tear.
Specsavers advertise a two year warranty, which they clearly dont stand by.
Im going to write to the health minister about this.. If Specsavers (a foreign owned company) is milking our Medicare money and bulk billing on products that are simply faulty, the minister should be aware. So should the entire health department.
DONT go to Specsavers!.

The staff are always very friendly and professional. They give honest feedback when helping to choose new frames and if your eyesight hasn’t changed from your previous test they don’t push you into buying new glasses for the sake of it.

I purchased 2 pairs of bi-focals from Bay Village last October, one for reading & the other are prescription sunglasses. The left arm of my reading glasses was loose so l went back to Specsavers B/V for a quick repair. The chap who served me said that my glasses had been ‘knocked around a bit’ & that l needed to replace the frame as it couldn’t be fixed. The cost to me would be around $100. I told him that these glasses are brand new (5 months is something l consider new for this product) & that they are therefore covered under warranty. He said NO because they had been ‘knocked around’. Now this is a complete cop-out & the owner is obviously NOT willing to honour the 2 year Warranty agreement. I am a retired teacher & look after my glasses 24/7; I’m not sure why or how he came to the conclusion that l ‘knocked my glasses around’ but he immediately put the onus back on me by stating that l was reckless with my glasses. Further complaints coming and l won’t be back!

The Team at Bateau Bay Square gave me a great in-store experience! Nothing was too much trouble. I was even squeezed in just prior to end of year to make use of my health fund rebates. I highly recommend Bateau Bay Square.

Asked for glasses with gradual transition as sunnies....NO. only works when in the sun...not driving. Unhappy, this will be the 2nd time back to them & have these glasses made into sunnies. Staff need to explain this to customers😐
