I have an annual eye test at Specsavers Ipswich Queensland (Riverlink) Branch. The staff are, in my opinion, friendly and welcoming and professionally wonderful and wonderfully professional. I couldn't rate them highly enough.

After entering the store, I was made to feel welcome. The staff were available to help me throughout my visit. They were genuinely interested in my needs and preferences

I felt cared for by the lady Optometrist during my eye test. She understood my needs and gave me good recommendations in regards to my visual needs.

Absolutely delightful service. Friendly staff, and the process to be seen and how my appointment was dealt with was absolutely perfect. Cannot rate the service enough. Will absolutely be where I go for my ongoing eye appointments in future. 🙂

I have been a Specsavers customer for years but so many things have gone wrong lately.
First thing they referred me to an eye surgeon in Ipswich who charges way more than many of the best in Brisbane. For example, over $800 for basic pre surgical eye testing that many others charge around $200 to do. I mentioned this to the person at Specsavers who I believe is the owner, and he didn't seem very interested. Well, dear sir, you are obviously not a member of the working class like most of your clientele.
Then after surgery in Brisbane (at a saving of around $5000.00 compared with our rip-off Ipswich doctor) I returned to Specsavers for new glasses. I selected some frames and one arm snapped off them in the first week. This was partly my fault because I fell asleep with them on once.
However, other glasses I have worn for years have occasionally bent but never snapped. I think that the quality of the materials and design was poor. Moving on, Specsavers said they were unrepairable and I have to buy more.
I have just paid nearly $400 for new ones. They did discount the cost of new lenses by 50%. Just be careful though with the quality of their frames.
But the worst part of their service was that since my cataract operations were done a few months apart, the staff promised me that testing and lenses for both eyes would be charged as just one set of glasses, even though both eyes tested and lenses done separately. I verified this with staff at the shop before I left, but now there is no record of that offer being made on their system.
So if the staff there make you an offer, it might be a good idea to check if that offer has been recorded. There seems to be a time when a business grows quickly and isn't what it once was.

The staff are very helpful, had me sorted without an appointment within 15 minutes. Everyone I had work with me were very friendly and seem to enjoy doing their jobs. I was told it would take three weeks for my new reading spectacles to be ready but it was only about a week. Great job Specsavers and thank you to all the staff.

Wonderful service and selection of prescription sunnies and adaptive lenses. Very friendly assistance and huge selection of frames. Love how my arms on my frames are strong but flexible. Love love love my new adaptive glasses. They work wonderfully.

Riverlink Specsavers are the best for friendly, helpful service. My new glasses are perfect and fit well, I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting an eye test and new glasses.

Quick, helpful, inclusive and informative. The whole process was so quick and seamless it almost felt like a dream. It’s almost a shame I don’t need glasses because I actually look forward to my 2 year check up.
