Our experience with Southern Cross Care Home Package has been unprofessional and ignorant as well as insulting.
My Mother, who is elderly and has vascular dementia, and myself have recently evacuated a mouldy rented apartment under doctors advice. Our current situation is even more challenging and difficult due to these circumstances. My Mother's, Christine, service advisers, clinical manager and managers have made our lives worse in their treatment, assumptions and not processing basic necessities, for example wound dressings and dressing packs which I have had to personally purchase. I have have been questioned and ordered by them as if I am a servant. I have also been threatened my Mother would be placed in a nursing home due to our current accommodation.
Christine's package is approx $50,000 and this isn't being managed appropriately and with respect.

I can honestly say that this agency seems to be experiencing severe staff shortages that is having a detrimental effect on the frail and aged people who are depending on them for support and care. I have seen staff not arriving on the allocated date and time leaving the elderly person confused and worried.
