I highly recommend going elsewhere if you’re having a scan for a sensitive issue. The technician made me feel both unwelcome and uncomfortable. I was her last consult and she showed visible irritation during the scan. When I asked if everything was ok (fearing she was seeing something very wrong on her screen) she replied bluntly that she was tired from looking at a screen all day. Showing empathy to clients in this setting would be a lot kinder approach.

I had my 20 week obstetric ultrasound at SER and found the technician highly insensitive to the fact that people look forward to seeing their baby during the scan, and I was not shown a thing. The monitor wasn’t working, which apparently happens all the time, and she did not share her screen once during the whole process. This is my third pregnancy, so I know this experience is out of the norm. I’m sure she did a thorough job, but I found the entire experience very clinical and highly insensitive. I will travel to Shellharbour US for women again next time, it is a wonderful experience!!

Called to make an appointment and was supposedly put on hold, yet that hold button obviously didn’t work and I could hear the whole conversation on how it was such a big deal I was from Sydney and hadn’t had a dating scan. Mind you I was referred urgently from Milton Hospital as I was hospitalised the night before having a scare of a third miscarriage. The receptionist came back to say I wouldn’t be able to get in until Wednesday. As I explained to the receptionist I heard the conversation, I know I am from Sydney, I know I haven’t had a dating scan but I am willing to pay and I have the right to still be seen? She then said there was miraculously a cancellation at 10:30am today which I obviously took that appointment. They were running 25 minutes late which they had failed to tell patients when arriving. I was already anxious attending the clinic for my appointment after I heard the conversation they were discussing with their staff there and yet the technician was rude and made me feel extremely anxious and uncomfortable. When asking questions about the scan she abruptly told me I need to wait and my results wouldn’t be ready for 2-3 days, yet I was told my results would be ready to be picked up that afternoon or sent to my doctor? I will never in my life be returning back here and wouldn’t recommend them at all. You never know what someone is going through, kind words and a smile don’t hurt. If you don’t like your job and the questions any normal person would ask, don’t work. Disappointed is an understatement.

Rarely answer the phone despite 3 women on the front desk, went in in person - rude, short, never smiled. I’d travel extra distance not to use these guys.
