I've only just started seeing one of the SHIPS psychologists. The psychologist (Sheralee) is absolutely lovely and immediately reassured me that this is a safe and inclusive space for people who may be in need of mental health support. I am excited about being able to continue to work with the psychologist for a long time to come. But on top of the psychologist, the admin and support team are absolutely phenomenal. Right from intake, the team are incredibly professional, but patient and kind, and help guide people through the steps, which can be quite daunting. This help was appreciated!

Laura, has been incredibly helpful, kind and compassionate. Each therapy session was a very comfortable experience, and I felt I could always openly discuss things with her.

The admin team are so organised with telehealth links and communication. Booking appointments is so easy and love the option of telehealth! - Was very handy.

After just 3 sessions with my psychologist I was informed (in session so I had to pay for it) that my psychologist was leaving the practice.
The 3 sessions were over the course of a single month so I find it hard to believe he was completely unaware of his time at the practice wrapping up.
What a waste of my mental health care plan. The psychologist was charging a premium rate too.
The psychologist assured me that I wouldn't have to start my journey from scratch, that I could be connected with another psychologist at the practice who would have access to all of his notes.
After a couple of days I was informed that there was no one at the practice who could help me as all of their psychologist had no capacity.
I was left with 3 wasted sessions and no plan for further assistance.
Extremely unprofessional I was left feeling more alone than when I started my journey with them.

I recently checked out a training sesh with the SHIP Community, and wow, I gotta say, it left me seriously impressed!
The whole thing was super well-organised, making the learning vibe totally smooth. (The learning environment was super neurodiverse-friendly and safe) The insights they dropped were not just deep but explained in a way that even tricky theories became easy to get. Seriously, love it!
What made this training stand out was the focus on inclusive language. It wasn't just a workshop, it was like a cool and enriching hangout with other people who work in the same field, the community connection is super helpful! Oh, and shoutout to the self-reflection part – as a therapist, that hit the spot for me!
The trainer kept it real and approachable, making the whole experience seriously impactful. Big love for that! Also, can we talk about the catering? It was top-notch!
I've heard others going on about how great SHIP Community's training is, so I'm totally backing them up. Get on board with their membership – it's totally worth it! Excited for more events and to keep this awesome learning journey going with the SHIP Community!
