Savannah Bar & Restaurant (Knotts Crossing Resort) - Katherine, Northern Territory

We stayed in a double bed cabin with a bunk bed for kids. Air conditioning was fabulous & all utensils were supplied. Even had a microwave. Only thing was the private shower & toilet block was separated. No insect repellent supplied. The pool was a short walk away, was lovely & cool. Restaurant menu was limited as my partner wanted spaghetti carbonara which was not supplied. However, the chef did make a tomato and onion salad which was requested. Wine was good but overpriced and expensive.

Hi,
I cannot speak of the accomodation, cleanliness of rooms or any other services outside of the restaurant facilities.

But I did attend your outdoor eatery tonight and have done on previous occasions.

What I can say is that after one or two drinks I do not need the pressure of each individual waiter or waitress busting my ass to put an order in every ten minutes.
I understand they’re trying to help the patron, but an in and out flipper isn’t the meal model that people are interested in.

Nothing negative, just some feedback.

Now… I had an absolute GEM of a waitress care for us tonight, who mind u… only asked us the one time whether we were ready to order yet.

She served us with a fantastic smile each and every time and ensured we were looked after to the absolute max.

Her name was Paulie (the American I believe) . I suggest you give her a pat on the back, as she made our experience rotate a complete 180 degree turn as she has done a few times before.

As always, a great experience due to waitresses like these.

The restaurant service was terrible. We went early and there were only 3 tables occupied including us. After waiting for 15 minutes I found someone to take our order. Another 10 minutes for two glasses of wine. Twenty five minutes later I found a waitress and our meals were brought out cold. Obviously they had been cooked, then left sitting in the kitchen until I asked for them. We used to love staying here and the restaurant was excellent. Sadly, we’ll stay at the Contour in future.

The cabin was exactly as expected, we had a fabulous and peaceful sleep. Shower was great, staff were really friendly and helpful. We booked our Katherine Gorge boat trip as soon as we arrived and the lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful with this. We ate at the on site restaurant for both nights and the food was lovely. We’d stay there again if we revisited Katherine. Maybe a little updating required but we didn’t mind this

We really ejoyed this tour! There were maybe 15-20-ish of us, but you could easily choose to spend the day on your own or to socialize. We made a few stops at some cute waterfalls, and the scenery was just insane the whole day.|The hike was actually really easy, so I think this tour is suitable for most people. |There were a few stops where you could grab some food or water if you hadn't brought it with you. |And our host Bas was just the best! <3

Older style motel, comfortable rooms, all the usual amenities, very clean. Air con was very cool and strong, even on low fan speed, but did not blow directly onto the bed. Small bathroom, stand alone shower. Wifi signal was weak, I used my own hot spot.|Meals available, served inside the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the pool. Buffet breakfast and dinners were included in our package so cannot comment on value. Food was pleasant.|Tip An east facing room might be more pleasant than our west facing one. The afternoon sun was brutal and we had to keep our curtains closed till the sun sank below the roof of the other row of rooms.

Spent a night in one of the motel rooms last week , when driving out the following morning I noticed one of the buildings ( maintenance shed I think )
had been crushed by a large tree ,I mentioned this in conversation to a resident of Katherine later that day and they said the tree had fallen 2 months ago and nobody had bothered to remove it!
while it didn't appear to be a danger to anyone , it certainly wasn't a good look for the hotel.

Absolutely awesome service all the staff are just so accommodating and friendly, we love to stay here every time we're in katherine. For the price it's the best place in town with beautiful landscape gardens 2 swimming pools Anna convenient location close to shops ana city centre. If you have to go to Katherine I recommend savannah bar and restaurant at knott's crossing resort, we've never had any problems and have always been accommodated for, including a price discount when we went and staying here at Christmas time. Knotts crossing resort has literally been in katherine forever, it's the best quite and family friendly accommodation available in my opinion. As a long time resident of the northern territory I have literally stayed in every single hotel I'm katherine and I swear that knott's crossing resort beats oit all the competition and another reason why it's still number one the scenery is lush green trees, river side adjacent and the last time we stayed there even though the place was packed we didn't get disturbed by others. A word of Warning though, known drug dealers have been known to conduct business from here so sometimes the car park is full of cars in the middle of the night but again it's all pretty quiet and respectful. The one Chris is in my heart is the bathroom doors are sliding doors and they are obviously a bit old and stiff now, but the room decor is simpl and still really nice.
