I booked a cabin and had to cancel three days out as my wife was required to have surgery unexpectedly. They would not give us a refund or even a credit, saying it is against their policy to do so.|Considering I advised them within hours of being informed of my wife's operation It think this is pretty mean. Every other accommodation provider for our trip cheerfully cancelled our reservations on a no cost basis. Very poor show given that we had no choice.

We stayed at this Caravan Park for four nights, just after Cyclone Alfred.
The beach and Marine Park were pretty smashed up. The sand was covered in kelp, eroded and basically a mess.
Not a CP issue, it just detracted from the idyllic location.
There are some amazing coastal walks from this location, across headlands and bushland.
Aside - this CP has an incredible pool area. It is oddly out of place amongst the rest of the CP. Two glorious pools, loads of deck area and lounge chairs. OMG. Heaven. Well done.
The park itself is just strange, It is essentially divided into three parts, creek (stinky, mosquito), beach (sort of) and backyard area.
Well kept grounds, excellent new facilities, if not a bit peculiar on entry (women’s toilet door is ramshackle to say the least.)
Great laundry.
Staff are extremely robotic. We had initial phone conversations, all of which lacked a heartbeat or even a smile (virtually).
We were going on the 4.4 Google star rating……
Come on guys - the admin team really need to step it up a lot! A smile, a joke, a friendly remark; at least.
On arrival, after choosing a different site to the one booked in an almost empty park we were chastised for possibly parking our Ute too far across a gravel road (barely, we were still front wheels on the grass).
There was a distinct lack of friendliness.
What disappointed us the most was the noise!
The family of on-site management was incredibly noisy each morning. To top this off was the construction that occurred for two days of our stay! No notice provided. Horribly noisy and dusty.
We loved the location. There were just a few disappointing and odd occurrences for us. We’d suggest a 3 out of 5. Perhaps poor timing.
We wish we had of played mini putt putt. 4 bucks each would have been fun.

As young travellers in a campervan:
Stars for the great location at the beach
for the clean and very good amenities (toilets, shower, laundry)

Wifi was bad in our camping spot and the kitchen area.
Couldn't even make a video call.
Staff didn't look realy interested after telling them.

Great spot right on the beach where you can hear the waves at night. Facilities were top notch and we had a great time here. The beach for young kids at the front can be a bit iffy but only a short drive to many other good options. Highly recommend

We are staying at Sapphire Beach Holiday Park for 2 weeks. The caravan sites are big and we have a cement slab. We are also next to beach. Good amenity block. Our hosts are excellent.

I stayed here with a campervan. 55$ pn, 2 persons with power, off season. Very clean and modern amenities. Friendly staff, just 100 meters from a beautiful beach. Trees, birds all around.

We had an amazing 2-night stay at Sapphire Beach Caravan Park! The powered campsite was perfect, offering everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway. The highlights were definitely the two beautiful pools, which were a hit with our family. Our kids loved spending time at the playground and playing putt-putt golf – great for keeping them entertained.||The communal shower block was a pleasant surprise; recently renovated and truly second to none. It was spotless, modern, and exceeded our expectations. We can't recommend this caravan park enough – a wonderful spot for families!

This is a beautiful caravan park with brilliant facilities. We were unfortunate enough to arrive on a weekend of storms. We set up on a flat, easily accessible site in the dark and the rain, and spent the first night hoping the canvas would hold. The next morning, it was still raining, however, the campsite was well drained, with very little standing water. It was also super protected from the worst of the storm - when I walked down onto the beach, the strength of the wind was phenomenal, but back on the campsite, it was relatively calm. When we realised the rain was not going to stop, the staff went out of their way to find us a cabin, so the kids and I could stay dry. My partner stayed on the campsite with the dog. Dogs are not allowed in cabins, but the staff offered to let us have him stay in the car nearby if the weather got too bad. We opted to keep the campsite, as the dog was likely to bark incessantly, even if we were nearby, and I didn't want to be THAT family that everyone hates. ||The grounds are idyllic - they're shaded from the worst of the heat and beautifully maintained. We didn't get to use the pool, but it looked amazing, as did the BBQ area, mini golf and kids' play area. The amenities were clean and modern. While we were there, there was a minor maintenance issue with the women's bathroom door. It was fixed within minutes of reporting it. ||Communication with the park was also amazing. We were given all the relevant information well in advance, and were kept informed of any issues around the park. Staff were kind, empathetic, and knowledgeable. ||If there was the option to give more than a 5 star rating, I absolutely would. Can't wait to come back again.
