Visiting Darwin on business and needed to seek medical assistance from Royal Darwin hospital. Compliments and thanks to the ED staff and doctors for all they do and after a 5 night stay a special mention for Gina ( nurse on the surgical ward 2B) who was truly outstanding in her passionate, dedicated caring way. 👍 and how good is the cafe out the front !

How the place is still operating is beyond me,
Doctors don't even bother to listen let alone inform people or updates on matters while in hospital!
Scans and tests with no details passed on. Doctors on different shifts aren't even on the same page one says one thing while the next shift recommends and says different. How can one trust anything that is said when they aren't even on the same page between themselves.

Honestly safe yourself or family and travel interstate do not waste time on this hospital

Very bad experience in ED.
My partner had DNC even they did not did properly they forget some thing inside and new tissues start growing into the Uterus .
Whole hospital is getting paid by the tax money of locals not from the NT Gov pocket.
If NT Goc can not do the check and balance its better to shut it down.

Fantastic ED. All the staff - front counter staff, Doctors, Nurses, CT staff, X-Ray staff, Physio and orderlies were just fantastic and very professional. The care was truly top notch and I thank them for looking after me and diagnosing my injury and providing me with a pathway to recovery. Ever gratefull to you all.

I spent a short time in RDH. Medical staff were very professional and engaged. The meals on the first day were very bland but once I started ordering my own they improved. Nothing fantastic but they are good meals and edible.

Darwin Hospital is beyond hopeless. Supposedly a teaching hospital - what a joke! The many doctors who saw me had absolutely no idea what was wrong. I asked for an MRI because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I kept telling them it was a nerve problem. To cut a long story short I came back to Perth and had an MRI which showed my spinal cord was severely compromised. By the time all was organised, found a neuro surgeon I was on crutches due to the nerve damage affecting my legs. So Darwin Hospital ruined my life without a doubt!!!

A big thank you to the entire 6th-floor team, including the maternity ward, delivery suite, and NICU staff. I will forever be grateful to Ruby, the incredible midwife who played such a vital role in the delivery of my baby. Her encouragement, support, and inspiring presence helped me through one of the most challenging yet beautiful moments of my life.

Dr Andrea, Dr Jason, and Dr Amy are such a wonderful doctors who actually know what they’re doing.

The midwives on the maternity ward were equally compassionate and attentive during my stay before and after delivery making my stay on 6A feel as comfortable and safe as possible. Suzie, Katie, Karen, Evelyn, you guys were incredible. Sorry I couldn’t remember all midwives names.

Not to mention the NICU team, who gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were caring for our little one with such expertise and love. Their trustworthiness and dedication to our baby's well-being brought me to tears.

All of you have made an indelible impact on my life. Your kindness and care have truly made this world a better place, and I will never forget the difference you’ve made during this life-changing time. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible midwife Laura from RDH delivery suite, she made my wife's delivery experience not only manageable but truly memorable, and we will forever be grateful for her support during such a pivotal moment.
I would highly recommend Laura to anyone seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled midwife. She is a legend!
