Only hospital I’ve ever been too where they fast you for multiple days in a row only to cancel right after meal service, and then expect you to source your own food or settle for a single sandwich. I’m sure eating one sandwich a day is great for health outcomes.

I had to go there today for my 3 year old son to get a cast on for a broken leg with a 1 week old baby, I was already feeling worked up about driving all that way from Gladstone! I asked for help and the ambulance staff, admin and Eddie the plasterer could not have made the process so fast, simple and helpful for me. Thanks so much guys🫶🏻

Shocking communication! A slight improvement there would free up so much time elsewhere with patients and family not having to be in their face trying to get info when they're busy! Can't believe Medical said call back in half an hour for info, even the ED don't do that... that's another call to answer, more time finding someone again to pass on message again! Come on, does time management not come with training, no wonder you're drowning. Written notes every day with same question, so time's not taken up by translation or expecting immediate response... every day another blank look, yes some would reach breaking point I expect! Changed a patient's diaper myself as sat in it all day; after mentioning it all day and concerned of UTI, weight was like a sack of potatoes... you'd imagine!! Had to put plastic on the mattress to get dry sleep! Ffwd 24hrs - UTI!!! Yes, some of us have to vent, even with full appreciation of staff stress with 3mths over capacity. MUCH RESPECT, but a nurse says be here 8-10am talk to team doing rounds... WHAT? How's the communication going to be when they're flat amidst that and what about the patients waiting to be seen if everyone was told to do the same thing! EMPATHY, yes... but what's the saying about helping themselves! COMMON, always repercussions, if this is a sneak peak, there must be a big death rate and it's a matter of time before things come back and bite. If only staff voices could unite, break down a door, get some solutions, I'm sure the people would stand too rather than be growled out by staff for worrying. And admin... need to check callers!! What happens when a dv victim has to handle an unknown phone call, not questioned just because no medical information was requested requiring them to be NOK! I'll be surprised if the courtroom floors aren't seen, seems inevitable to me, not everyone is so 'patient'!

Thank you Rocky hospital for your prompt service and caring informative staff. I had the need to go to the emergency department this week on15th of May with a medical problem that had become worse. After being examined by a wonderful Doctor I had more understanding of what was happening and found I had been previously miss diagnosed in another town. Once again. Thank you for your wonderful care.

If I could give this hospital no stars I would, they withheld my insulin after meals to the point of raising my keytones, gave me the wrong advice on carb counting , said I was doing it wrong, when in fact I was doing it correctly. as a type 1 diabetic, I was very mishandled in that hospital, they couldn’t even put my DOB and home address correctly. The people there were all very lovely, but there needs to be more education on the condition and maybe better listening skills as well.

Easy parking. I would give the cafe a miss .. Very expensive and not so nice
If you have a concession card you can get a discount for parking. reminder to get it stamped at the main entry-level information desk.

Wasn’t feeling the best so went to the hospital waited 4 hrs to been seen the doctor I saw wasn’t very nice and wouldn’t do what I ask in regards of my medical history. Had bloodwork and X-ray done and esg scan. All show up nil didn’t believe her.the doctor had a attitude that Wednesday night she refused to get my medical history file that state I had heart problems.wasn’t impressed off the service I was given and time frame you had to wait to see a doctor.
