Rubi was my masseur at my appointment and she was awesome, she listened to me explaining the parts of my body I needed the most attention and also what I thought had happened to make them sore, she asked what pressure I wanted and said I could let her know if I needed more or less. Rubi was fantastic and delivered exactly what I needed. I wished my time could have gone on for longer. She is definitely my person now and will be booking back in again to see her. Thankyou for such a lovely environment, it was both inviting and relaxing. I loved every minute.

Disappointed would be an understatement! More-so for my pregnant wife that I purchased the gift voucher for. We cannot afford for my wife to attend a spa every other week, so when we can, I get her vouchers for special occasions.

My wife had to cancel her appointment on the day of the appointment due to our 2 year-old son requiring an urgent ultrasound on his leg after having an x-ray the previous day with suspected femur ball degeneration and potential cancer in the joint. My wife called as soon as we received notification from the doctor and advised them of the situation and rescheduled the appointment for the following week.
Thankfully for us the scans came back clear, which was a massive relief.

Fast forward to the following week, my wife attends her appointment, looking forward to the day, relaxing massage, quite time away from home and some relief from the body aches of being 7-1/2 months pregnant.
When arriving for the appointment she is greeted with a bill to pay (the voucher was for $150, treatment of $130, so should have been enough to cover the total cost) and being told that because of her late cancellation, a 40% cancellation fee was applied to the service for the day. We understand that it is 'policy' to apply this, but it would have been nice to have been told when she called to cancel that this would apply, especially when its a $50+ fee. What would have been even nicer, would have been to wave the fee all together, considering the circumstances.
We highly doubt this would have occurred with the previous owners, as they understood the power of repeat customers.

So you can keep the extra $50 that you made but you have now lost any future monies from us, as we will take our very hard earned money else-where.

Shame on you!

P.S Refresh Day Spa used to be a place that felt elegant, now with everything painted black, feels dark and dingy and the smell of paint is a nice touch to a relaxing massage.

Then continued to work those much needed areas. Such a lovely place and very happy, frendly, professional people. Just makes you want to go back to spend time with them.
