Waited for 3.5 hours for my toddler to be seen at home on a sat arvo, the doctor didn’t even come. Just called and guessed what was wrong over the phone. Didn’t examine my child at all. It wasn’t even a Telehealth consult, just a phone conversation. What a waste of time and poor service. How is this a home service?

I have used Radio Doctor several times over the last two years. Doctors provided very good service for after hours home visits. Will write prescriptions when needed.

I would not trust the competency levels of these doctors... The one that gave me a telehealth call after arranging a home visit - could not even operate their phone competently enough to allow camera access so the client they are treating can see the image of the doctor on the screen... The dic of a doc then wrote me a private script for a condition that actually did meet the PBS criteria.... I needed to get the script rewritten at another doctor surgery... Non PBS private scripts are for when you are traveling and don't actually have the aimlent or the doctor "thinks" it might work but it's never been tested... The private script this doc wrote was for an antibiotic

What used to be a great service in times of need has turned into a complete outsourcing farce.
Booking through website is a waste of time, no Drs available in the area.
This used to be something that the people of the Illawarra could rely upon, but now it's a joke.
You are seriously better off going to the ER, at a minimum you'll be seen by a nurse at triage.

Try to make a book I was talking to the lady on the phone and was nearly finished and she asked if I wanted phone call appointment and do I like bulk bill and told me the doctor was available to see my son and then the phone call got cut off I called back and apparently it was a different person but they sounded the same and apparently the doctor was fully booked I think that is not true pretty bad service to turn away a teenager that had his tooth pulled and in a lot of pain with a dry socket

Spoke with ben yesterday, he couldn't wait to get me off the phone. After hearing my wife had a severe headache, he told me to call an ambulance and hung up on me even though I’d mentioned we thought it was mastitis again. Tried to call back but due to long wait time gave up.
Called doctors on demand found through Google, was really easy and quick and didn’t need to wait for a doctor to come to us. Not bulk billed but happy to pay for the speed and convenience

Have used this service numerous times on behalf of participants of the group homes I work at. The participant's in the group homes have challenging behaviors. Every doctor I've had come through have always been very patient and understanding with the participants. This is a vital service in my opinion. Yes the wait times can be a few hours but they are busy every night and have a large area to service. I like that the last time I used their service that the doctors driver called ahead of time to give me updates on a rough time frame until he arrived. A valuable service if you are unsure of something and want peace of mind
