Receptionist asked me personal medical questions regarding my referral & then rudely stated as my written referral reason was “not caused by an injury, I have to pay the entire cost upfront and Medicare won’t be offering me the rebate”
Sorry but I’ve been to see a medical professional who has assessed my injury and needs a scan to determine what has caused it and I possibly have a meniscus tear which needs a scan to confirm and she decided she’s the judge of whether it’s covered by Medicare? Unprofessional. Will be requesting a different company going forward for all scans and X-rays.
Your reception should learn respect and not ask people private information which I’ve discussed with my doctor who physically examined my injury and they shouldn’t offer unwanted opinions.
Not her job to pick and choose who gets offered Medicare and who doesn’t.
