We trusted Queensland Fertility Group (QFG) to guide us through our fertility journey with professionalism and expertise, but our experience has been deeply disappointing. After undergoing two expensive rounds of IVF, we have since sought further medical advice and discovered serious issues that QFG failed to address.

It was clearly visible on the ultrasound QFG conducted that I had a polyp and fibroid in my uterus—both of which would have prevented any pregnancy. Shockingly, these were never flagged or addressed before moving forward with treatment. Additionally, I have now been diagnosed with severe endometriosis, a condition that also significantly impacts fertility, yet this was neither diagnosed nor investigated during my time with QFG.

Their willingness to proceed with costly IVF cycles, despite such obvious barriers to success, demonstrates a blatant lack of proper care and thorough investigation. This approach felt purely profit-driven, with no genuine concern for patient outcomes or well-being. We were never informed of these underlying issues, alternative treatment options, or the true likelihood of success in our case. We were advised to do one more round for the sake of peace before we gave up despite the lack of duty of care required by law in QLD.

Fertility treatment is an emotional and financial commitment, and QFG’s failure to provide basic due diligence has left us feeling misled, emotionally drained, and financially exploited. We strongly urge anyone considering this clinic to seek a second opinion before proceeding.

We will be looking into taking legal action against this company and urge anyone else in this situation to do the same. They are exploiting women at their most vulnerable, and it is unacceptable.

Our initial IVF process began with the Sunshine Coast QFG branch. We did two cycles through them, and I found the nurses, receptionists and scientists to be incredible. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and compassion. Nothing was ever too much to ask and they were quick, responsive and kind with all of my queries, no matter how trivial. I’m sure I asked a million questions and they were absolutely wonderful.

This is a poorly run lab with a poor embrio recovery and incubation rate. Reporting on cycles is poor and mishaps in processes are common. If you are waiting inline for pickup, ask the ladies next to you about their experiences. Don't be surprised by their answers and ultimately don't be afraid to seek another opinion. A good lab and specialist will save you time, money and most importantly hardship. We left QFG for a much better experience and set of outcomes.
