I have been attending this centre since the birth of our two sons, and I can confidently say it has been an exceptional experience over the last four years. Everything has been outstanding, and the staff members are consistently friendly and professional. The highlight for me is Dr. Inga Atrens. Her professionalism, kindness, and patience are truly remarkable. Dr. Inga takes the time to ask insightful questions and genuinely listens, which allows her to identify the root of any issues and provide effective solutions. I am genuinely grateful for her care. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this centre.

I am absolutely outraged and horrified by my experience with Dr. Ingar. I had seen her three times before, yet on my fourth visit, she asked me multiple times if we had seen each other before. In the moment, I laughed awkwardly and said, “Umm, yes, I have,” and she even laughed along with me. But in hindsight, I am completely appalled. I don’t expect her to remember every patient, but does she not have my past appointment documents up? She had no record of my medical history, no documentation at all, even though my appointments were just months apart.

Before she prescribed me the pill for hair loss, I had specifically told her that I wanted to go on minoxidil. But she insisted I try the pill first for three months instead. After two and a half months, I came back for a follow-up because I had experienced an extreme depressive episode for no reason—so severe that if I hadn’t been as resilient, I could have done something terrible to myself. Then, when I got my period, it was so excruciatingly painful that I nearly called an ambulance.

When I went in for my follow-up, she had no idea I had seen her before and no records of my history. I told her I had been experiencing unbearable period pain while sitting in front of her, and she showed no remorse whatsoever, just brushing it off as if it was completely normal. Instead of addressing the severe side effects I was experiencing from the pill she insisted I take, she simply referred me to a dermatologist, as if she had no responsibility in what had happened.

I then asked her to prescribe me medication for painful periods, and what she gave me was so questionable that even the pharmacist was confused. When I went to pick it up, the pharmacist questioned why she had recommended this specific medication, explaining that it wasn’t the best option. The pharmacist was so taken aback, they ripped up the prescription and gave me a stronger, more effective alternative instead. The pharmacist showed me more care, understanding, and empathy than my own doctor ever did.

When I finally saw a dermatologist, they were appalled that Dr. Ingar had prescribed me the pill for hair loss. They told me it could have actually made my hair loss worse and that I could have simply started over-the-counter minoxidil, which doesn’t even require a prescription. The exact treatment I had originally asked for—before she pushed me to take the pill.

I cannot believe someone this careless and reckless is allowed to practice medicine. She should be investigated. If you care about your health, do not trust Dr. Ingar with your well-being.

Dr Nick has to be one of the most thoughtful and caring doctors I’ve ever had. I was hesitant to write this so he’s not always booked out!

Got referred to Dr Nick after Dr Scott left QSMC a little while ago.

Dr Nick is attentive, up-to-date with current health information, LGBTQI+ friendly, and always checks in on you (not just the appointment items).
Really appreciative of his professionalism and expertise.

We flew into Brisbane for medical checks not knowing where to go I took to google to do a doctor. This medical group has several doctors that specialize in different areas. Booking an appointment is so easy to do online. You can choose from a 15minute to a 30minute. They are located in the heart of the CBD. They are very punctual for appointment times. There is also a radiology and lab in the same building so it makes the visit super convenient for an out of towner.
We saw Dr. Warfe and Dr. Amos both outstanding doctors.

We have been visiting several doctors at this practice for well over 10 years; they have been quite good.

My review is primarily in regard to the administration and the management.

As with many GP practices who now have "practice managers" acting as "revenue managers", they appear to have implemented a cumbersome bureaucracy to the neglect of patients, favouring profits over patient care.

If you need a blood test or a repeat prescription, they simply make up excuses for you to come in for a full visit—I was called and told that I needed to come in for a visit to organise a blood test, to have a routine test to check for high blood pressure (blood test for high blood pressure? that's not even a thing).

There is zero care about patients, government spending, or efficiency. If you need a blood test, why do I need to come in and hold the GP's hand while they write a referral?

Need results - That's an appointment they want to discuss too.

I would go as far to suggest the management here appear negligent of their duty of care as healthcare prefessionals. Making sure each patient gets highest level of care, doesn't get sick should be the priority - But this does not appear to be the case at Queen Street Medical.

The admin staff are inappropriate and act as hostile gatekeepers, interrogating patients rather than facilitating seamless care between a patient and their primary health professional.

If this is the future of medical care in Australia, we're all in trouble.

Infact, I solved my enquiry with a simple call to Updoc.com.au - They provided everything I needed for $45 and called in 15 minutes at 7pm.

While I would hardly recommend using a Virtual Doctor for your overall health, when your primary "Carers" want to focus on profits over empathetic patient care plans, they'll quickly be run out of town by more efficient services. So this is the future.

Perhaps someone needs to invent a middle ground solution.
I'd coach Doctors to return to their calling... but hey, that's me.

You all probably just need to just look after youselves.
